The staff at this hotel were amazing. They were friendly and so helpful, BUT this hotel is dated and the twin room I was in was very small, as in I just had a few feet on one side of the bed. The location was good and I felt safe and was walkable to the sites I wanted to visti.

This was a great budget option!! Breakfast was nice, especially inside london don't see free breakfast very often. Yes this is a budget place but it was clean and we enjoyed our stay, would stay again. Be aware no toiletries included

The breakfast is extremely basic and low quality. Do start your day with the coffee at this place. The housekeeping is very poorly done. They don't even empty the trash bins in the room. They didn't even clean the toilet once during our 5-day stay. They shot down the heating so if you feel cold you have to ask the receptionist to turn it on and then you can control it in your room. The rooms are very small and if you have luggage then you will be in trouble. If you can pay slightly more better to go for other options in the neighborhood. My only motivation to book this room was the location and I was at the hotel only for sleeping.

Simple Budget Friendly - does the important stuff

This is a simple budget friendly hotel. I paid GBP70 for a one night stay. The room was small but very clean, the shower was hot, the bed was comfy and the room was a comfortable temperature. I did not need a desk to work at so that was not an issue. For a one night crash over it was more than adequate. Breakfast was very very simple. Just toast and jam, coffee and juice from concentrate. But given a lot of hotels at this price point would not include anything its was welcome and saved me feeling starving hungry as I walked out the door. There was a night manager on overnight so my extremely late check in was accommodated and he was polite and friendly. Check out was very rapid. All in all very satisfied for what it is. An amazing location with easy access to the nearby Victoria station. No frills but the basics done well.

Although the staff were good and friendly the hotel is a bit dated and needs a makeover,breakfast was very very poor with the amount we paid for rooms a quality substantial hot breakfast would of been expected and not the cereals,toast and a yogurt we were offered not very good at all.

Hotel location is fine, about 5 minutes to Victoria station. the room was too small and the heater was so hot, we sweat all night, please if you read this comment try to lower the temperature or have some kind of thermostat that can adjust it. Thanks

Expedia should be in trouble for booking people in the basement which is a fire risk and this hotel. I reported them to the fire marshal because there’s a basement room where the only way out is through a very, very long hallway that includes the exit and they should never book anybody down. There is a terrible place and we left and they would not give us a refund

I made the right choice to pick this hotel. Easy walk fromVictoria station, Buckingham Palace and etc.. The front desk man Sajjad worked with our needs. The breakfast was good and staff were attentive to dining guests always filling up table needs. Location wise, easy transportation, safety and modesty is what you need. I recommend the Dover.
