The staff and hotel were excellent. We enjoyed our stay and would give the hotel 5 stars except for a couple of issues do to our being in wheelchairs: 1. the hallway was a little narrow and we had to pass through a narrower doorway mid way to our room; 2. the door to the room did not have a powered actuator to open the door. Opening the door to enter involved unlocking it and than holding it open with a foot so it would not close. Exiting required grabbing the handle and having to back up the wheelchair to open the door than hold it open while exiting. These are issues strickly applicable to guests in wheelchairs. Therefore, I would highly recommend the Resident Victoria as a centralized place to stay. There is a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant just around the corner and several larger restaurants 2 blocks away. We rolled all over London from this central location, very convenient. Victoria Station has a good restaurant and is just a 5-8 minute walk/role away if you need to catch a train or bus. Now, if you have booked a bus tour from one of the tour companies the busses meet on the street outside Victoria Station; I highly suggest that you get specific instructions from the tour company as to where to meet your bus as there is no signage in Victoria Station or on the street. We missed our first tour because we could not find where to meet the tour bus. Cruise ship shuttles are in the "coach station" across the street from Victoria Station.

We choose this hotel because it seemed to be near transportation, landmarks, etc.; and it was!! The staff was great at fulfilling any need we had! Whenever we do return to London, The Resident Victoria will be at the top of the list!

A few feet from the gates of Buckingham palace, this property is a gem. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and considerate. In particular, Andrei provided customer service that I would expect from the Ritz Carlton...outstanding. I look forward to visiting this lovely hotel again.
