Expedia rate this hotel as 4 star but it’s definately more like a 3. Was clean and tidy but part of it were run down and the lifts were hit and miss as when you pressed the buttons there were times when it didn’t move. Check in was a nightmare. Seems like everyone turned up at once and it took over an hour of queueing to get sorted. Hotel is very warm and no air con so be aware when booking as it was uncomfortable at times. However, the staff were decent and the location is spot on for Kings Cross (about 15 minute walk). Overall I think it was a decent hotel but for £260 a night I’ve stayed in much nicer places.

It was a decent hotel although was a bit noisy outside and the pipework. Could also have been cleaned a little more. There was hairs in the shower and was a bit dusty. Good location though

A Lovely Hotel

Hotel was really nice. Problem with the reservation where only one room had been reserved rather than 2 however resolved at check-in by the hotel. Would stay here again.

Decent for an overnighter

Great location and did the job for a couple of nights. Very busy outside of the room we had so rather noisy. No aircon which was uncomfortable on a very hot weekend. The staff are the best feature - excellent team.

No luxury here, but a good base (did the job).

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We took luggage in at 8am (check in at 3pm) and they have designated rooms and staff on all day. Very organised. Room was fine. We had a triple room with plenty of space and wardrobe space for a couple of nights. Only thing was lack of air conditioning! It was roasting! And windows, of course, only open slightly (better than not at all). We were on busy street so it was extremely noisy with traffic, sirens and noise from bar downstairs. Mind you, after long day walking and sightseeing this didn’t keep me awake too much. My roommates found it more difficult. It’s a huge hotel so very busy and a lot of groups but I did like it. It was well located, not far to walk to Kings Cross (we didn’t like Russel Square Underground station which is closer), and 15 mins walk to Covent Garden, half hour to Trafalgar Square. Breakfast was really good and plenty to choose from. £17.50 a bit steep as I’m not a big breakfast fan and don’t eat much in morning but it was nice. This is a problem with all hotel breakfasts for me! Overall, a friendly pleasant hotel which did the job for a weekend with friends.

please install AC!

I stay here often, check in was good - however as i checked in early i dont think my room of choice was noted... asked for a quiet room - i was next to the cleaners room - (a little WD40 goes a long way!) no AC either on probably the hottest day London has had this year - made it uncomfortable. It wont stop me coming back all the staff are super friendly and the rooms are great - just on this occasion a little too hot!

I had 3 rooms here for my family for 2 nights. No air conditioning! Asked for fans multiple times and only 1 room received one. It was like a sauna in those rooms! Our room was above the outdoor bar and car drop off so we heard partying all night, and then when that stopped we heard every car drop off after that. Between the heat and the noise none of us slept for 2 days straight. Do not stay here.

I really did not like this hotel. The reception service is slow. The room was hot with the window only opening a crack and there being no air con. I did ask for a fan for the second night and they gave me one which helped. The lifts are slow
