Great overnight stay

We came to London to see a couple of shows and stayed just one night. For London the price was low so we were really surprised at the quality and the standard of service. Everything was spotlessly clean, the room was great and all the staff were so polite and helpful. We were able to leave our bags on both days very easily which was a great help. We had a drink in the bar and coffee and pastry in the coffee shop - both were good. We will certainly stay here again!

Perfect location, great all rounder, good price.

The standout for me, aside from the location, is the incredible plumbing. Silly as it sounds you can fill a deep bath with scalding hot water in about 90 seconds, as an engineer at heart i find it so impressive that a hotel this size can do this 24/7. Staff are brilliant and so attentive. Rooms arent anything special but the amenities are all there and they are clean, and again with everything within a 20 min walk, from theaters to restaurants to the major train stations, its a great choice. After 2 stays, this is now my "go to" for a night a the theatre in London.

Hotel was clean and very convenient for Euston Station and the British Museum etc. But rooms were noisy both from the street (sirens and traffic) and you could hear talking (not shouting, literally just people having conversations) from the neighbouring rooms.

Horrible, there is no air conditioning at the entire building, room was extremely hot, many windows are open at night and because of that there was a MOUSE inside the room at midnight making noise eating sweets from the trash can. Also the noise of the city is terrible if they give you a room with street facing, the worst place that I’ve been in a while, definitely is not a place to rest. Don’t go there

As a solo female traveller, this hotel doesn't provide any extra locks on the room doors, so is a big no for security. Check in is at 2pm, by 3pm when I came back to the hotel to check in, after already having left my luggage at the hotel in the morning, the room still was not ready which I don't think is acceptable. I got given a different room at no extra cost, but that is besides the point. I stayed during a heatwave and there is no air conditioning in the rooms, I had to ask to have an electric fan brought up to my room, which is crazy. I think the only positive thing about the hotel was that I made them aware of an allergy because of an autoimmune condition that I was born with when I made the booking and the staff at breakfast knew about it and we're very helpful and knowledgeable. Where my room was located was over looking a late night bar,bso quite noisy to sleep. If I am staying in this part of London again, I would not choose to stay in this hotel again.

Expedia rate this hotel as 4 star but it’s definately more like a 3. Was clean and tidy but part of it were run down and the lifts were hit and miss as when you pressed the buttons there were times when it didn’t move. Check in was a nightmare. Seems like everyone turned up at once and it took over an hour of queueing to get sorted. Hotel is very warm and no air con so be aware when booking as it was uncomfortable at times. However, the staff were decent and the location is spot on for Kings Cross (about 15 minute walk). Overall I think it was a decent hotel but for £260 a night I’ve stayed in much nicer places.

Decent for an overnighter

Great location and did the job for a couple of nights. Very busy outside of the room we had so rather noisy. No aircon which was uncomfortable on a very hot weekend. The staff are the best feature - excellent team.

No luxury here, but a good base (did the job).

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We took luggage in at 8am (check in at 3pm) and they have designated rooms and staff on all day. Very organised. Room was fine. We had a triple room with plenty of space and wardrobe space for a couple of nights. Only thing was lack of air conditioning! It was roasting! And windows, of course, only open slightly (better than not at all). We were on busy street so it was extremely noisy with traffic, sirens and noise from bar downstairs. Mind you, after long day walking and sightseeing this didn’t keep me awake too much. My roommates found it more difficult. It’s a huge hotel so very busy and a lot of groups but I did like it. It was well located, not far to walk to Kings Cross (we didn’t like Russel Square Underground station which is closer), and 15 mins walk to Covent Garden, half hour to Trafalgar Square. Breakfast was really good and plenty to choose from. £17.50 a bit steep as I’m not a big breakfast fan and don’t eat much in morning but it was nice. This is a problem with all hotel breakfasts for me! Overall, a friendly pleasant hotel which did the job for a weekend with friends.
