Hotel Reykjavík Grand
"Overall nice and clean hotel. Very modern and staff was nice. We originally booked atrium facing room, downside was that we got an “upgrade” which didn’t feel like one because the noise from the construction next door was very loud. The room size was nice however. We were told construction work was ..."

"Some of the front desk staff are unkind and unhelpful to us, and to others as we observed. 1). We arrived about 9am and told a front desk agent that we flew for more than 10 hours overnight from Canada and wish to check in if room was available. A front desk agent checked computer and told us room ..."

"Overall, this hotel was just right for our needs for a two-night stay in Reykyavik. The room was minimalistic but roomy enough for a family of 4, I liked the heavy curtains that kept the light out as it was still daylight at midnight. I would have appreciated a night lamp, and an outlet next to the ..."

"Overall, this hotel was just right for our needs for a two-night stay in Reykyavik. The room was minimalistic but roomy enough for a family of 4, I liked the heavy curtains that kept the light out as it was still daylight at midnight. I would have appreciated a night lamp, and an outlet next to the bed so I can charge my phone near me as opposed to having to walk to the other side of the room to switch off the light/put my phone to charge. The bathroom was functional and just fine, it had a hairdryer as well. The coffee maker only worked if someone was pushing the button continuously while the coffee was being made, and the lid of the thrashcan wouldn't open with the foot pedal, it had to be opened manually. While the room was OK, there was a bad smell upon entry into the building, it smelled like bad fish, it seemed to be coming from some thrashbags piled up on the right side of the entrance (wish that someone took those outside but there is no staff at the property that you could talk to really, checkin and checkout are all online). It is not a luxury stay but the room was clean, the bed was great and although no breakfast on site, there are grocery stores and restaurants nearby."
