"I was excited to stay here because the old reviews were good- I was quickly disappointed. The property is extremely dated, the lobby smells like an ashtray and the old furniture is filthy. The elevator is small and has a dirty wooden floor. Our room smelled like a Glade factory blew up in it. The smell is so powerful our clothes smelled like it when we got home. Our TV didn’t work and it took 2 hours for someone to come look at it. They smashed down on the top of it to get it going. They said if that didn’t work they didn’t know what to do because there was no replacement or extra. The room was superficially clean but the furniture was old, dinged and dirty. Hot water ran out Sunday morning and the toilet clogged twice. The kitchenette was a nice surprise and had things we needed but the fridge was dirty with rust all over the seals and 4 inches of ice in the small freeze compartment. The carpet is coming up so the bathroom door doesn’t shut all the way. The room had two charging stations for phones, but only one of them worked. With no breakfast and such a dated property the price is totally ridiculous."

" We enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham. The oceanfront room was just what we expected. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean. It's about a 5 minute drive from the main beach activities but the quiet was just what we wanted. We'd stay there again."
