It’s the ick
We booked this property for a Thursday- Sunday trip- chose it for the pictures and location. When we arrived we walked in and were immediately greeted with an overwhelming, pungent smell- old, musty, and strong. The property looked nothing like the pictures- it was old and dreary- felt super dirty- even though the surface looked clean- the unit felt disgusting. Like bugs were going to crawl on you gross. We immediately reached out to the property owner to tell them we weren’t staying there. We found another listing down the road (highly recommend that one) and left. The owner finally reached out and refused to provide a refund. Stated we had used the bathroom (which we had bc we just got there from 7 hours in the car). Honestly- I hope they use the rental income we paid for repairs and updates. We will never stay at this or any property owner/managed by this owner. Also- this is my first 1 star review of a place we have stayed. I’ve never been so grossed out.
