"The first room we were given had a strange smell like a plumbing problem had occurred. The second room did not cool down below 78 degrees ever and was significantly warmer than the hallway. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable however. There are no microwaves in the rooms and we had to request one. I received one for free because of a reward status perk but was told that there is usually a charge. Valet and bell service is great but you are separated from your luggage for a time so do not put anything you need immediately on the cart. The last night of our multi-night stay, we were informed that there was going to be plumbing maintenance being done throughout the hotel and that the water would be off from midnight to 6am. I asked the front staff what we should do if the toilet was needed in the night and they had no contingency plan to offer other than "don't use it." We were not offered any compensation for this inconvenience. The location is great. It is walking distance to the convention center and Disneyland. Delivery services are not allowed upstairs so of you order anything, you still have to go downstairs to the lobby to pick it up and carry it to the room yourself. The little grocery in the hotel has some nice food and coffee options but is expensive. We have allergies to fragrances and mold but did not have any allergic reactions here. I was very grateful for the valets and bell service in that they were careful with our things and kind."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 My experience at Hotel Maya was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive. The property is beautifully maintained, offering stunning waterfront views that create a relaxing and tropical atmosphere right in Long Beach. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing everything needed for a pleasant stay. One of my favorite parts was simply enjoying the scenery around the hotel and taking in the peaceful views of the harbor. The location is excellent, offering easy access to nearby attractions, dining, and the waterfront. Whether you’re visiting for a vacation, special event, or wedding, Hotel Maya provides a unique and memorable experience. For future travelers, I recommend requesting a room with a water view, taking time to explore the grounds, and enjoying the beautiful sunsets from the property. The combination of great service, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding views makes Hotel Maya a destination worth visiting. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Maya to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Long Beach getaway"
