"The shower head pipe was coming out of the wall and looked like a run down flea bag cheap motel. Embarrased. Hilton can do better. Charging $45 to park car was ridiculous as was providing coffee and then expecting me to pay for the water. Have stayed all over the world and always receive complimentary water for coffee."

"Fantastic amenities make this our go to, preferred choice for a staycation within the greater Bay area. The athletic facilities and spa services are standouts, as is the strong sense of history that you receive by simply walking around the hotel and common areas. Housekeeping is wonderful. Rooms are spacious, and well appointed.There are small signs of deferred maintenance here and there, such as dirty carpets in the entryway, and some peeling wallpaper inside the rooms themselves, but none of this distracted from what was an all-around wonderful stay at the Claremont. We will surely return and always look forward to subsequent visits."

"My intention is not to disparage the hotel, but simply to provide a few details regarding areas they could fix to improve. 1. The hotel claims to be a Best Western—and it is evident that it once was—yet they are using photographs from that era for both the lobby and the guest rooms; the current reality, however, is far removed from those images. 2. The staff member who assisted us was polite; in fact, they switched my room because the original one reeked of cigarette smoke, despite the entire hotel having a strict non-smoking policy. 3. Aside from the smell of cigarette smoke—which was also present in the second room, albeit to a lesser extent—the room appeared clean at first glance; however, there were cobwebs, small bits of trash on the floor, and general grime. 4. There was excessive noise coming from both inside the hotel and the outside environment; loud, construction-like noises persisted throughout the entire night. 5. The entire hotel would benefit greatly from a fresh coat of paint. 6. I would recommend this hotel not for family trips, but rather for people working in construction who simply need a place to spend the night."

"The place is okay, nothing fancy for the price, just a place to sleep overnight! Plenty of parking, washroom is clean, tv, microwave and a fridge! Internet a bit slow, 4 stars for the value but don’t expect anything more. You get for what you pay, good enough for me"
