The Sutton Place Hotel - Edmonton

"VERY nice hotel. Yes, it's a bit rough around the edges."
This is still a VERY nice hotel - comfortable, quiet rooms, heat works (quietly, no less!), good staff, and premium location. In mid-winter, paying $23/night for heated downtown parking was not an annoyance. Paying extra for "premium" wireless internet service WAS annoying (the free service was very slow). The bathroom could have used some grout work and paint touchup. Yes, the TV was sad, old, and bulky, but the picture was fine. The Christmas season is a great time to stay at this hotel, especially if you want to shop or sightsee downtown.

Delta Edmonton-Centre Suite Hotel

"Great Hotel, Excellent Staff"
Would have given this hotel a 5 stars as the staff and the location was excellent but the only problem were all of the bums that hangs out around the hotel. This is probably a problem of the Edmonton City Centre Mall's and not Delta hotel's fault but because the hotel is situated within the mall, we were constantly harassed for money. When we didn't give them anything they became rude and started scream obscenities towards us.

Days Inn Edmonton Downtown

10041-106 street, Edmonton - Map
"Days in the heart of Edmonton"
The Days Inn overall was a comfortable experience but I wouldn't rank it as extraordinary. The location is beautiful if you want to experience the bustling heart of Edmonton, filled with multiple restaurants and coffee houses that meet the needs of many. As for the hotel itself, I was disappointed that there was no mention of extra costs for parking (it's $15.00 a night) and that there is no continental breakfast. The fitness room is incredibly small and the restaurant in the hotel was closed when we visited. Our room was comfortable and beds were perfect! The bathroom was nice and secluded and we had a great view of the city. It doesn't have a fridge or DVD player but the building was quiet and our room easy to find. Overall a pleasant experience
