Most everything was great about this hotel. Was not far from pretty much everything my wife and I went to. Took an Uber pretty much everywhere since everything was close. Hotel staff was very friendly from the valet, front desk, and bartenders. Check in was very easy. The only negative thing would be the train tracks next to the hotel. I was on the eighth floor and constantly heard trains going by.

Room was ok. Actual hotel was a lot better. Received an extra small room but I didn't really have any complaints because I knew I'd be spending very little time in the room. Will definitely be going back.

"Excellent Choice!"
The La Quinta Downtown is a unique location due to the original building was established in 1924 as Hotel Lawerence. Lots of history, which I love! The renovations are beautiful an the historical pictures were preserved and displayed on the walls. The customer service, cleanliness and hospitable staff and the whole experience was amazing! I will be back to visit!

"Destination Dallas"
I booked a double queen bed and when we got there, they gave us a King bed and said I had never booked a double queen room. I had the email to prove it so it kind of made me mad. They did get us a rollaway, but still, don't guarantee a room only to not have it unavailable. I will think twice before using Travelocity and booking at the Crescent.

"Not your Mom's Holiday Inn"
We usually stay at the chains, decided to change it up. Hotel is Industrio-retro-artsy. Bed was comfortable. Shower is not a tub, so could have used a stool to put foot on to dry feet/etc. Business trip. Could have used a dresser top - only surface was a small desk, which got quickly clogged with computer, etc. Floors are not carpeted. Rooms smaller than typically chain - more like a loft. Staff was polite. Needs vending machines for beverages, chips, snacks. Rooftop bar a plus - nice view. There in February, so pool was not open. Did not eat at hotel.

"Nice inexpsenive hotel downtown"
The hotel was beautiful, albeit obviously dated. Room was nice, scarce of many decorations. Very spacious, big closet, weird bathroom. The room could've used some updating and the beds weren't super comfortable. The front desk associate who checked us in was awesome, I wish I remembered his name. In the craziness of NYE I understand it's rough but we asked the front desk for a few things and never got them so ended up leaving without.
