Experience was good until I was double billed and lied to by the hotel manager. My total bill was 643.16 which was taken out of my account then another 543 was taken out and the manager firs tried to tell me that it was a Travelocity service ,then after disputing more he told me it was an authorization fee. Then disputing more he said the charges will be reversed as something overlapped in their system. Trying to scam me out of 543 .never go here again disgusting.

Great location and good bang for the buck

Stayed here for two nights for business and pleasure. Great downtown location. Also like the common areas for breakfast and cookies. Room was clean but they failed to clean it between nights--I had do not disturb on for an hour to make phone call but they should have come back later. Only other thing I'd suggest is that they brighten the rooms with light white and grey paint...the dark brown is getting dated. But overall a positive stay for the price. Would stay here again.

Don't waste your money.

Warning: there is a lot of sarcasm in this post, but a lot of info. You can DEFINITELY tell this is an old hotel that was renovated to look more modern. Idk if its just the fact that it screams old building...or if i just read when it was built. First of all no one every mentioned valet parking. Ok, i get it..downtown dallas...friday night...unless you want to park in an alley somewhere you pay for valet...or so the valet who approached our car quickly told us. Whatever... $25/night... ...might in suggest an alley? So the minute we walk into the room it smells like room service just got done trying really hard to get the smell of a guest who took a huge dump before they left out, ... It didn't work. I got used to the smell pretty fast although i didn't know where it came from. It just kinda was a weird stinky fog that hovered in the room. Speaking of the room it was TINY for being $140/night . I'm not that picky, but in comparison to other rooms i have had for less andv twice the size?? Seriously.... The bed sheets had this weird print woven into it that aged the room. Seriously think of that white quilt your grandma had, but not as nice. Makes me wonder if they really ARE thar old (gross!) Or that they pay a little old woman to sew new sheets every once in awhile. The pillows were super firm. I guess that's ok if you like no give in your head space. View from the room was ok..our view faced this back alley kinda area that no one walked around in so i don't know

Nice hotel - good location.

Pros: Cookies before bedtime and fresh lemon water in the lobby was a nice touch.
Cons: Breakfast was ok - cut fresh fruit would have been great. More seating needed during breakfast hours. Hotel lobby had an overpowering perfumed scent.
Location: Walking distance to downtown historic area. Good restaurants just around the corner.
We stayed here for 2 nights during a recent trip to Dallas. Staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and attractive. Our original room was very dark and they immediately moved us to a room on the other side of the building which was brighter. Nice rooms! Pet friendly. Cute little cafe adjacent to lobby.

Dallas Magnolia Downtown was a waste of money.

Pros: Nothing, but it being accessible to downtown dallas
Cons: Everything, the website describes free internet, and show pretty rooms which were not very impresive
Location: Downtown dallas was accessible
First issue the lights in the room was a joke when the light beside the bed is turned on the light above the doorway stays on, after you turn the light off by the bed then the light above turns off then on for 15 minutes then back on. Second Issue: ordering food, ordered at eight o'clock food never showed called again they said it was on its way the food never showed up. Third Issue: room was not very attractive like pictures on website, one trash can in the bathroom, internet service did not work on computer when you are past the 2nd floor. Better off leaving computer at home. I was unable to use computer for business affairs without sitting in lobby. Fourth Issue: After talking to Manager about lights and internet and food service basically, was stuck paying for the full cost of stay due to booking on Travelocity was told to call them about service.

Deep in the heart of Dallas

What a great hotel.  very very comfortable-loved having a kitchen-but no real markets close enough to buy anything to cook.  loads of restaurants nearby and teh breakfast buffet in house was great.  wifi was a tad on teh weak side but other than that a really great place to stay-would definitely go back or to other Magnolias around the country!
