We had a great stay. It was just for 1 night after a concert at Wrigley Field. Heart O Chicago is an older hotel but it was very clean and close to public transportation. If your not familiar with big city neighborhoods you may say the neighborhood is bad but it's truly not. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat

Needs a rescue! Mid century gem with many original features surprisingly intact. I first stayed here in 1980 w my parents, looking at colleges. I stayed here in the 90s, when friends and I came up for Pride and Market Days. Sad turn of events that now you can expect lots of shouting, fighting, pounding and slamming of doors, and all manner of awful behavior from super sketchy "clientele". Someone could save this place, restore its dignity, make it a boutique motel, and make a killing. Parking alone makes it a deal.

Staff was friendly and Accommodation was clean but the bed was uncomfortable. Noisy neighborhood and the walls seemed thin so bring ear plugs.

It was a convenient location for what we wanted. The cleaning staff was very nice. The desk clerk when we checked in needs lessons in customer service! He was just short of being rude. Certainly far less than friendly and welcoming. Otherwise the stay was fine. The rating would have been higher, for the price point, but there’s no need for someone like him at the front desk.

Just OK but not for everyone!
Have stayed at this hotel several times primarily because it's a fair price for a city hotel and it's close to where we want to be. That being said, it is an older hotel than has had minor updates but it's pretty basic. They claim they offer a free breakfast but no such thing existed. The check in person is always cold and impersonal. The check in desk is behind a glass window which should tell you something about the hotel. It's not uncommon to see people milling around in the area at all hours of the night. To be fair, I have never had a problem staying here but it's not for everyone.

Expedia didn’t give a hint that this was a motel, not a hotel. Thankfully, my partner and I are versatile and can roll with unexpected situations so it was all good. Still liked the proximity to Clarke street and close to transit.

This motel is in a rough section of the city. It’s supposed to come with a breakfast and they said they don’t have breakfast there even though it’s on the billboard sign they do. Plus they have bed bugs and the air conditioning is not working. We were highly disappointed and the staff said this is how it is and they won’t refund. So disappointed in this place. It’s a rip off.
