A mix of nice and grody.

Pros: The location.
Cons: Update the worn nature of the rooms, and maintain the pool area better.
Overall it was fine. But this wasn't what I was expecting for a room that goes for $250 a night. The table had ball point pen marks all over it. There was clearly a stain in the carpet. No big deal, but not really high quality. The decor was otherwise fine, and the bed was comfortable. We took a dip in the hot tub. It was disappointing. There was gunk floating on top of the water, and the whirlpool function itself was useless, and poorly designed (the jets were only at the top and provided nothing in terms of added comfort). The sauna was nice however. The location was great and within walking distance of many great restaurants.

Downtown Chicago

Our family of seven took full advantage of the facilities‼️ The free breakfast, close to everything either walking or a short cab ride approx $7-10. including tip & free teas, hot chocolate on the second floor. We had to order a roll away bed bc we had 4 teenage boys & the $25. a night fee was waived. I only wish they had clean drinking water at the hotel. We had to walk to Walgreens for bottled water, approx 4 blocks in 9° weather. We requested a taxi van to take us to the subway & it arrived in 40 min. The staff was very accommodating & patience w/answering our questions. We r already making plans to return to Hampton Inn & Suites in the summer‼️

The staff couldn't keep up with the demand for food nor did they have enough tables or seats for those that were there. The convenience of breakfast is why we choose to use Hampton Inn's. Definitely going to rethink that idea in future reservations.

Fantastic Location, Great Price & So Comfy!

Pros: CLEAN and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Hot, free breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were soft!
Cons: We found out after the fact that the only rooms w/ mini-frig and microwave were suites. It would be great if these were in every room.
Location: Just a few minutes walk from House of Blues, Christkindlemart and lots of downtown shopping.
We stayed here for a weekend event at the House of Blues. A 5 minute walk from there and very conveniently located. We stayed for 2 nights - the price was very reasonable - especially for the Christmas season!

Dear Mary, We are delighted you enjoyed your experience! Although suites as well as king wet bar rooms are the only rooms with refrigerators and microwaves pre-set, we are more than happy to send up a fridge per availability upon request! We also have microwaves located both in our suite shop as well as breakfast room for guest use as well. Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to seeing you again! Warm Regards, Damian Cantrelle Guest Experience Ambassador

Centerally located

Pros: The staff was very friendly and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: Move the fire department a few block away, unless the hotel is on fire, then its in the right spot.
Location: Gino's East is two blocks west if you like pizza. Navy pier is about a mile walk straight east, And the Doughnut vault is not far walk ether.
A nice Hotel with very friendly staff. Centrally located in Chicago, just a few blocks walk to everything. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Only one down side, if you are a light sleeper there is a fire department right next door, but lets face it there are sirens going all the time in Chicago :)

Great hotel in a great area

Hotel was perfect for our stay. It is located in a great area of Chicago - easy walk to so many restaurant and bar/club choices. Hotel parking/valet service was super easy and convenient, and the hotel itself was very updated. Room was comfortable and nicely appointed. Would definitely stay there again.

Welcoming hotel

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, very helpful staff
As I have come to expect in staying at a Hampton Inn, this hotel provided all the usual amenities complete with staff that seemed to go out of their way to assist their guests. Each morning when we set out on the day's journey, we were met by an enthusiastic staff member who asked us if we needed help finding the place we were heading. It was a little noisy inside due to it being right in the heart of the downtown, but they also provided earplugs to anyone who wanted them.
