Flight Review

Mar 11, 2020

The larger plane seats from Phoenix to Charlotte NC were much less comfortable than the seats in the smaller plane from NC to Charleston WV.

Mar 8, 2020

American should institute a "Person of Size" policy similar to Southwest. As a "Person of Size" I feel I cannot afford to purchase an extra seat every time I travel. Especially on the smaller plane used from Charlotte to Charleston WV, I was lucky to have a seat mate that was OK with have the arm between our seats up so that I was more comfortable.

Everything very smooth

Dec 29, 2019

First time flying by myself so I was a little nervous but the staff on both my planes were very kind and helpful.

How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Charleston

Make your trip to Charleston a little easier by reading over these helpful security tips:

  • Have your travel ID and boarding pass easily accessible. They'll be the first things you'll be told to produce by airport security personnel.
  • Take off your jewellery, belt and shoes before arriving at the security checkpoint. Items such as these are not allowed in the body scanner.
  • Electronic items such as laptops, cameras and phones need to be sent through the X-ray machine separately. Be sure they're easily accessible.
  • Flying with a favorite perfume or cologne? As long as it contains no more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and it's placed in a clear resealable plastic bag, you can keep it in your hand luggage.
  • Consider the type of footwear you want to fly in. Slippers are great because they're super easy to remove when you're doing the airport security checks. Try wearing some on your next flight!
  • Some places have strict biosecurity laws. Think about where you're off to and whether or not it's permissible to fly with fruit and meats.
