"We had a good stay at Alda Hotel in Reykjavik. The location is excellent, it’s walkable to a lot of famous and interesting sites of the city with lots of restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and well maintained (room 214 could benefit from more stronger shower water pressure, but the sink and toilet were ok). L’Occitane bath amenities. Staff were friendly and willing to help. We included the breakfast buffet with our stay, it was ok but would be better if they change some of the offerings each day. The hotel has a restaurant (Brass), a barbershop, a Starbucks, a gym, and a sauna. There’s free street parking from 9p-9a and there’s a nearby pay parking garage (pay street parking is costlier vs garage if outside the free times). We would consider to stay again at Alda Hotel if we go back to Iceland."

"Awesome stayed for three nights. The room is spacious . The shower head water pressure is too low. The car park is limited . Even though they have a free parking behind the hotel, but always FULL! Anyway, we had enjoyed our stay in Midgardur by Center Hotels. "

"This was my first time staying at a Hub hotel. On arrival, there was an employee near the entrance that was able to explain how I do the self check in. The self check was very efficient. There is a common area with kettle, microwave and fridge for food storage. Dishes/cutlery available for use and when done, you just place it in the dishwasher. As a single traveller, there was enough room for me to open my checked and carryon luggage then store it under the table. For two people and luggage, it may be tight unless there are bigger hubs. I chose an upper bed which was easy to get up into and the bed and duvet was very comfortable. The common bathroom has private toilet and shower stalls and was well kept and clean. I saw a few other people, mostly in the common area. Overall, the place is quiet and sleep was comfortable. It is more affordable than standard hotels in Reykjavík so if you don’t mind the smaller space, it is a comfortable stay. "
