One night at the Marriot -UD

It was only one night but the room was clean and the staff did their best to accommodate our dog. Although it is a dog-friendly hotel, I did not call ahead of time to tell them I had one. An oversight on my part and I will not forget that next time. The only problem was breakfast. They charge for breakfast. For my kids, 6.95 was a bit much because they only wanted cereal and chocolate milk. We ended up going to a Dunkin Donuts and for $13 the four of us had breakfast. The adult breakfast at the Marriot was 12.95. Most of the other Marriot hotels, we stayed at, never charged and I should check the hotel a bit more before booking.

Nice clean hotel, convenient location

Pros: the people that worked there were very friendly
Cons: see my comment above re: the thermostat
We weren't in the room much, but it was a nice hotel. The one issue we did have is that the thermostat on the wall makes it really tough to actually control the temperature of the room. Instead of having a normal thermostat, it has a knob, with a low/med/high control. That sounds great, but we could never make it so that the room wasn't either too hot or too cold.

Convenient to University of Delaware

Cons: It would be nice if they ran the shuttle on weekends.
Location: Many great restaurants.
Came for the weekend for a College Tour/Visit. Nice that it is so close to campus. We were able to walk to everything. Hotel staff was very friendly. Bartender was great!

Pros: Location -- felt like part of UD campus! Modern and comfortable.
My daughter and I had a wonderful visit together at the hotel! Everyone and everything was great.

Excellent!

Pros: Quiet, good food in restaurant
Loved this place. My balcony overlooked a cute outdoor patio with a small waterfall nearby. Could also see the school nearby, regardless, it was very quiet. Dinner and breakfast was excellent, and the staff very friendly. We went into town to get some ice--didn't look like there was much in the area, but we were only staying overnight and moving on northward the next day. Rooms were clean, modern and quite large. I had booked the hotel online, so when we checked in, I requested a handicapped room from my aunt who was recuperating from surgery. They provided the room without issue, and placed me right next door to her and my uncle. My uncle was impressed with the decorations of the hotel--he kept taking pictures with his new digital camera! Would definitely stay again--great place tucked away in this small town.

Wonderful hotel

This Courtyard is very clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. We stay here about 3/4 times a month. Best hotel around.
