Surf Club is a no frills beach house type motel that still offers all the modern amenities like in-room coffee maker, fridge, micro, wifi, etc (kitchenette). My wife and I felt like we were in the nostalgia of the 1960's. Couldn't care less that there was no elevator, the hotel is only 3 floors and there's an awesome retro dumbwaiter that takes your zooms your luggage to your floor. The staircase and hallways are narrow, and of course they are, because that's a 1960 beach front hotel. It was practical then and awesome now to stay in a place that takes you back to the very roots of beachfront living. The room reminded me of a stateroom in a clipper ship (google it) with it's clapboard, exposed beams, quaint little nooks and you absolutely will not find a more breathtaking view. Everything you need is there so you don't have to sacrifice comfort in any way, but the feel, the vibe, and the look of Ocean Club is exactly what you want if a beach house is where you want to stay. My wife and I will 1000% be back. Hopefully soon !

This hotel is a good value during off season. It is in need of a refresh/painting/new wallpaper and new towels. The hairdryer in 204 was covered in what appeared to be dried hairspray. The coffee in the front lobby is good and the staff are very friendly. Parking is very limited so I recommend arriving early.

The beach view was amazing! The room was almost like a temporary studio apartment, very nice hotel quality but almost like an air bnb so it felt homey. We had a full size fridge and a two burner induction stove top. There are also plates, a pan/ pot and cooking/ eating utensils (plus many other kitchen gadgets)! Room was very clean and you can crack a window for some ventilation. Plenty of storage for bags and extras. Bathroom was very clean with a stand shower, plus soap/ lotion and shampoo/ conditioner. Ceiling fans and an air conditioner. Upfront staff was very nice and explained where to park. Area is lovely and the street is pretty quiet. No extra fees that weren’t listed which was very nice. All in all great stay and for a really great price, definitely recommend!

Our room had a wonderful view, which we enjoyed through huge windows facing the beach. There are no balconies on this property, but we could open the side window for breeze and ocean sounds. There is no elevator, but there is a "dumbwaiter", which navigated our luggage upstairs easily. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was polite and helpful. Lots of parking on two lots.It was great for a quick weekend getaway.

Nice place right on the beach and walkable to many restaurants and bars only bad thing is you have to take stairs up to your room but they do have a dumbwaiter to bring you bags up to your floor our visit was in late September a summer visit might look a lot different

Great ocean front view and room.

Small but perfect room, all the conveniences we needed for a three day stay (in early October). Beach front view was terrific, the place was quiet, with very few people on the beach at this time. We enjoyed hearing the ocean all night with no other noise. The Surf Club does not have an elevator, but they do have a dumb waiter that can be used to get heavy luggage up the 2-4 flights of stairs to the rooms. Staff were excellent! And this place is only a short, easy drive to Rehobeth when we wanted more shopping or people activities.

The room and bedding were clean. The hotel was quiet, staff was pleasant. Our oceanfront room had an amazing view. Head’s up that there is no elevator and if your room is on the 3rd floor like ours was, you will be doing many, many steps during your trip. If you can’t do steps, ask for a room on a lower floor.

Super friendly staff and beautifully clean room. Bathroom is small, but you're at the beach! There's a full refrigerator and kitchenette. While there's no balcony in our room, we can see the ocean from the large window and there's a small dining area and couch. We'll definitely stay here again.
