The front desk agent, Shawn, was WONDERFUL. He was kind, compassionate, funny, and he treated my 3 sons like they were actual paying adults. It was amazing. What a 180 from the experience on 2/14. The pool was great, the hot tub was awesome. Breakfast was yummy. The rooms were clean. Even the other guests were friendly. We will GLADLY reserve rooms here again. 10/10. 5 stars.

I always get a comfortable room whenever I stay at a Hampton! My only complaint is that the toilet was running when I arrived and because my room was for a disabled/challenged guest, there was no shower curtain on my shower. Fortunately, the hotel receptionist moved me down the hall into a room that had a shower curtain with the tub.

Never stayed - reservation not found

Well who knows what happened and when you are arriving late at night...very late who really cares right. My reservation from travelocity was confirmed for two queen beds and yet hampton could not find it on check in. i had previously called the inn to confirm and was told we were fine. the two queens could be changed to a king with a pullout to accommodate 3 people and to add a night. Well that never happened. so thanks hampton for nothing other than charging our account for something you couldn't deliver and we were told can't offer. so staying here again, never stayed the first time and a likely future customer of properties associated with this chain. get you acts together folks cause travelers have options. and well travelocity how can I grade a room, facilities or cleanliness if I never used it? But hey you wanted a grade in there so without a N/A option they got terrible. I have no clue what the place is like. Only the fact they need to train their staff better and ensure their reservation systems work.

Clean, Quiet, Comfortable...

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
Great location. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, etc. Room was very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfotable and clean. Hotel was on main road, but very quiet. Complimentary hot/cold breakfast was a bonus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area

Very happy

This was our first time staying at the Hampton Inn in Middletown, DE. We had stayed at other area hotels that were a little cheaper, but this was well worth the few extra dollars. Upon entering the lobby I noticed it was clean and the check in process took about 2-3 minutes. The room looked and smelled clean. All linens and shower curtain were white which means they are bleach-able. The room was hot even tho there was no heat on, but I just turned on the A/C and it was fine. Breakfast was very nice. Not just the usual *continental breakfast* that most hotels offer, but they also had hot breakfast options-bacon, scrambled eggs, waffles. I felt very safe staying at this hotel with my family. We will definately return to this hotel whenever we are in the area.

I've never had a problem with Hampton Inn till now......

Everything was what I have come to expect from a Hampton Inn until our problem occurred while checking out. This Hampton Inn advertises a check out time of noon. Which it was, but they failed to mention that your electronic room key automatically stops working at 11:00am. So, needless to say, I was quite irritated that during my second trip of loading my car after 11:00 and well before noon, that I had to go back down to the front desk to get my key reset just to get back into my room to get the rest of my personal belongings to check out. The hotel employee at the front desk was very unsurprised by this because they said they are aware of this and didn't seem concerned about it. If you can have electronic keys automatically stop working at a set time, then why not at your advertised check out time. This will make me think twice about staying at another Hampton Inn.

Excellent Hampton Inn

This is an immaculate Hampton Inn. The service was very efficient, and the location is convenient to shopping in the newly developed area, but still close to downtown . I highly recommend this hotel.

I Love the Hampton

The staff went out of their way to see that we were very content and that all was perfect, couldn't ask for a better staff, the rooms were lovely and comfy, I felt like I was home.
