"Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Bailey’s Place during our 24th annual Labor Day gathering at the Yuba River, and it was nothing short of exceptional. While most of us camped at the Big Bend group site, this charming cabin provided a cozy and comfortable haven for those who preferred more traditional accommodations—especially our mom and others who needed a bit more comfort.The cabin is beautifully appointed, offering ample space for our group of eight. Layout is thoughtfully designed, with a spacious family room, well-equipped kitchen, and a large deck perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The pet-friendly policy was a huge plus for us, as we brought along our sweet husky/shepherd mix, and he felt right at home.One of the standout features of Bailey’s Place is its proximity to the Yuba River. Just a short drive away, we enjoyed easy access to the river's natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Whether it was hiking, swimming, or simply soaking in the serene surroundings, the location was ideal for our family adventures.Our host, Phil, was so accommodating and responsive, ensuring that our stay was seamless from start to finish. The cabin was clean, well-maintained, and stocked with all the essentials, making it a true home away from home.We left Bailey’s Place with our hearts full, already planning our next visit. It was the perfect setting for creating cherished family memories, and we'd love to return!"

"What an amazing week at the Lodge. Just sitting on the porch in the mornings with coffee, blankets and a fire was worth the trip alone, but the location provided endless activities. The Lodge had all the basic things we needed and lots of thoughtful touches. Very well taken care of and uniquely beautiful landscaping. Thank you!!"

"This a fantastic house, especially if you have kids in your group!! We had eight adults and seven kids, ranging from 2 to 12 years old. Our stay was in August. We used both canoes, the kayak, and the paddle board every day! We also used several of the bicycles, some of the beach toys, and the beach umbrella. The foosball table was in constant use. And the kitchen is VERY well stocked with pots and pans, and several large cooking pots and baking dishes. Five kids slept upstairs in the loft and loved it! So I would highly recommend the Capone house to anyone visiting Serene Lakes! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!!"

"Homeowner was lurking and parked his car in the driveway. They did leave after our second day. Can’t confirm, but I think this owner owns the place next door. Didn’t have a lot of room to get stuff in/out of our large truck due to owner parking in the middle of driveway . Had to clean pans and dishes before using them. On a corner lot that is a main thoroughfare w/ a fair amount of traffic. 40.00 could get new pans, but that hasn’t been figured out yet by owner. If you cook, I suggest bringing cookware.We agreed this was a place to sleep. Surrounding lakes are challenging to access w/ little access available to non-homeowners. Winter may be a different story with skiing as the day event. I doubt we’d come back. Just being honest."
