We had a lake front room and boy was the view worth it!! We loved that the motel was dog friendly because our two Goldens simply love the water! Also a treat to have a coffee shop and a burger grill within walking distance (5-10 min walk). They have grills throughout the property that you can use and the hot tub was the cherry on top!! We are already looking to book again. Only downside is the room not having a window or slide door so we had to get creative with blocking the doorway while having it open for fresh air and sound of the waves.

Great little motel! Perfect location, lake front and walking distance to the local park and shops/ restaurants. The place is very nostalgic yet clean and in great shape, hot tub was hot, and the beach access was perfect. Overall an excellent stay for the price.

October 12 stay

For a cheap getaway, the Crown Motel was nice. It would be way too modest of a motel for my wife, but for me I just needed a comfortable, clean room for the night. This is not the type of room that you want to spend much time in because it is very small. I'm one who drinks hotel provided coffee in the rooms that you make yourself. I was disappointed that there was only tea packets in the room. I really enjoyed the hot tub. It felt great and there was a great view of the lake .

We have stayed here several times, but it has been a few years. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The room had no coffee, the bathroom shower was dirty and it looked like a blind person painted the bathroom door. We got locked out of our room, the front desk staff person was able to assist and get us in. It seems like manangement is not paying attention or walking the rooms. Super bummed, we are local and want to support our local community.

Great Get-Away by the Lake

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. Loved being right on the lake and listening to the water at night. The fire pit was a nice touch at night to sit by. At first my husband was put off by the glass door to the room until we found the shade in the closet that just stuck to the door by magnets. We put that up at night. We did miss having coffee in our room for the morning, unfortunately it was on back order.

Believe the bad reviews! I wish I would have. They honey pot you with pictures of other updated rooms. We stayed in a standard room in the courtyard and it was also very loud from the street and noisy neighbors who were there to party. Might be nice if you pay the extra money for a lake view room because the location is nice, otherwise don’t waste your money on a standard room and expect to get a good nights rest.
