Pros: lovely property, large bedrooms, cozy and private, easy check in, cute and quirky home, large enough kitchen table and plenty of chairs to seat a group.
Cons: One-off issues (3)
1. When we arrived around 4pm the house's temperature was 45 degrees. We were without a reasonable amount of heat for about 4-5 hours (heating oil was depleted). The property manager, Josh, didnt answer our first two phone calls but called us right back when we left a voicemail, and was super responsive and helpful after that!
2. We texted to ask for a late check out (noon instead of 11) and did not receive a reply.
3. We left behind 2 important items. Cleaning apparently didnt find them but Josh was kind enough to do a walk through and he found them. I offered to pick them up but he shipped them for me and I was charged $17 for this. This is reasonable, I just didn't expect to be charged given that I would have picked them up from the porch and we also experienced a significant issue during the first night of our stay.
Cons (probably ongoing) And finally, one comment about the house overall -
The kitchen is large and it is a nice place to gather, but despite what it says in the listing is woefully understocked to cook a meal. The knives might as well be plastic for as much as they can cut anything. We tried sharpening them but it was ineffective. The cutting board is the size of a mousepad. There are very limited options for larger bowls to mix or prepare anything.
