Ok, so if you have a family, this is not the place for you. We walked in and instantly noticed a foul odor in the place. My parents who were with us (and in their 70s) instantly started coughing. We walked around and noticed that everything in the place was broken. The living room chair was broken, the stove drawer was broken, there were chunks taken out of some walls, two of the beds had broken feet and all of the beds sagged in the middle, the bureaus in both bedrooms were broken and unusable, and when we pulled the Murphy bed down there was garbage behind it and it was just plain dirty all around it. It was too much to just request maintenance as it looked like a beat up fraternity house. We left within a half hour of being there. We contacted the host for a refund and have been denied. We ended up finding a different place to stay but have so far paid double for our accommodations on our trip. I contacted VRBO and they’re trying to help us recover our money, but we may be out of luck. We tried to go take photos of all of this a day before we left town but they had locked us out! The furniture does not match the photos. We walked by the building from the ocean side and there were literally fraternity banners hanging from the balconies. Do not bring your family to this resort. I wish I’d taken more photos to share, but we were discouraged and flustered after having driven 18 hours to get to Myrtle Beach.
