This cabin is very nice and the view is gorgeous. We were very comfortable and had a great time. However, check-in was troublesome. We arrived at 9pm after a very long drive to find other people inside our booked cabin. It's late, I'm with kids, and there are random people inside our place for the night. I called Vacasa and they seemed to have no idea how they got in... except when we knocked on the door and talked to the people they said Vacasa gave them the code to enter. There are two cabins in the property and they were at the wrong one, but what on earth is Vacasa doing giving them access to a cabin they didn't book. They have different addresses. This one was booked by me. If not for these people being very nice and packing their things up and moving to the correct cabin, I'm not sure what we would have done. What if they were asleep? Or just unwilling to move? It worked out because these people were friendly and realized their error. But Vacasa messed up big time. I paid almost 700 for two nights in a place they gave to someone else. I will add, the local agent was very nice and responded quickly. But Vacasa's general customer service line played clueless. The operator even went so far as to ask me to try to enter the other cabin. No ma'am I will not be doing that and that is not a solution to offer someone. What if there were people in that one too? Ridiculous.
