"Our stay was a 5/6 out of 10. Some things were excellent: friendliness of staff, activities throughout the day, and pool. Some things need improvement: our room had a leak that was not addressed for 2 days and ended up flooding part of our room. We were finally allowed to switch rooms 4 days into our trip. Response time to the leak was disappointing. We weren't the only room that had a leak and needed to change rooms while we were there. The food was okay at best - at the mexican steakhouse my husband ate his steak with his fingers after asking for a fork many times. They were out of many authentic sides but didn't tell us in advance. We ended up having the same cheese fries that are on the buffet every day as our side. We would've eaten somewhere else if we knew they were out of things, instead of waiting until our reservations at 9PM. Getting reservations at any time other than 9PM is difficult. With my kids that was too late every night. We did go to the buffet one night due to no restaurants having availability, and almost every dish had fish. My kids don't eat fish, so that dinner was also disappointing. The Italian restaurant was the best. The taco truck out front and ice cream shop - thankful those were there to supplement the bad dinners. The waterpark needs updates. My 11-year-old son was afraid to go down the slides, as the stairs have many cracks and need repair. We went there 1 time for about an hour. Big & pretty but will likely go elsewhere in the future. "For such a large 1300 room resort the access to pool and beach chairs was good. Room was clean and food was plenty but mostly buffet. Wish there was more table service at the specialty restaurants."

"The rooftop jacuzzi room is a 3-star at best. Shoddy patchwork on walls and ceilings. The room had a sofa with stains all over it.The toilet room is so small you can barely move. The staff was not very friendly at all, other than our butler and a couple of the cooks. Vendors are EVERYWHERE and the property does nothing to control their harassment and begging. The food was edible. I would compare it to the food I had on deployment in the Persian Gulf. IF there was queso, it was always cold. The guacamole was virtually non-existent and instead of a true pepperoni pizza, they cut up slices of hot dog and slap it on a pizza crust. Who does that? The steak restaurant is comparable to Outback at best. The sushi is horrible in texture and the Italian restaurant is nothing more than Stouffer’s frozen lasagna, if that. The Adults Only section is NOT Adults Only! We will not be returning to the Majestic or to the Dominican. Once you leave the resort, the place is filthy with people dumping trash wherever there is an opening and is completely run down. "

"As a frequent Expedia traveler, I value the exclusive perks offered worldwide. However, I encountered several issues during my recent stay at this hotel. Firstly, we were subjected to a three-day experience in a hotel where the sea was closed due to a drowning accident. The reason for the closure was not provided, and there was a significant concern regarding the whereabouts of the lifeguards. Secondly, while the Dominican people are generally friendly, the hotel staff’s behavior was inconsistent. They were only polite when we showed interest in their breakfast or engaged in conversations about timeshare matters. Thirdly, the vacations were intended to celebrate my daughter’s fourth birthday, which falls on April 9th. She selected the hotel based on the beach (which was closed) and the children’s club, where she was denied entry because she was still three years old, despite being 361 years old. Fourthly, despite being a VIP guest, I was not recognized or provided with any of the exclusive perks that Expedia offers."
