Unauthorized entry of condo
Unauthorized entry of a maintenance person into our condo. This caused extreme stress to my family due to a prior domestic abuse situation. We received no phone call, text or email from Vacasa requesting entry of the condo. The maintenance person entered the unit unannounced and was confronted in the living room. When Vacasa was contacted about the incident, I was told it was because we made our reservation on short notice. We had to barricade the door entry everyday for our security, as the locking mechanism is flimsy. We had no sleep and jumped at every sound. Miserable.
Other issues to include.
1) Loud construction in the morning that we were not made aware of.
2) Dishwasher wasn’t usable.
3) Patio screen door was off track.
4) Kitchen pantry smelled like mold and a dead animal. The smell permeated the entire entry, hallway and kitchen area.
The unit is in desperate need of a total remodel. The owners should be ashamed of themselves for renting this unit, as it is in total disrepair. The unit is not handicapped accessible and many stairs have to be maneuvered to access the unit. I would rent elsewhere!! I travel quite a bit and this was one of the worst experiences to date.
