The Standard London
"The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to help us find our missing luggage. Turned out airport didn't deliver it until the following day. They then kept the luggage until we returned back to the hotel three days later."

Bedford Hotel
"Lovely friendly check in, and an early check in as we were just going to leave our bags but our room was ready. Location of the hotel is great, about 15 mins walk from Kings Cross in one direction and the same to Covent Garden in another. Like a lot of London hotels there is no aircon in the rooms, ..."

Tavistock Hotel
"Room was like a sauna with no air con, the fan made no difference, need blinds on windows. The toilet didn’t flush properly and sink drained very slowly."

"The rooms were clean but very warm with no air conditioning"

STG Hotel London Oxford Street
"Have stayed here many times over the years. Now it seems new owners. Have to pay extra for a room with air-con & all rooms have had the tea/coffee facilities removed. Why pay to stay somewhere so very less luxurious? Never again!"

Bloomsbury Hotel Guide\n
The Bloomsbury area in northern London, England, has a long association with literature, culture, and medicine, which is reflected throughout the neighborhood. Bloomsbury is centered around Russell Square, named after the family that helped make the district into the upscale residential area that it is today. Several famous authors, artists, and intellectuals have lived here over the years, and there are many educational institutes and museums here too. A stay in one of the top Bloomsbury hotels means you'll have lots of cultural attractions on your doorstep, with the iconic sights of central London just a short trip away.
Visiting Bloomsbury
London Heathrow Airport is 21 miles west of Bloomsbury, and there are many options available to get there from the airport. You can hail a cab in front of any of the terminal buildings, or take London's extensive Underground railway network to Holborn or Russell Square stations. Additionally, all the major car rental companies have counters inside the terminals.
After checking into your choice of hotels in Bloomsbury, get out and visit some of the attractions in the area. The biggest draw is the British Museum, which holds a vast collection of artifacts from around the world and throughout history—it's very easy to spend a whole day there. Other museums in the area include the Charles Dickens Museum and the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology. You can rent a car in Bloomsbury to get around or use public transport. Walking is also an option, as most of London's other main attractions, such as Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, and the Tower of London, are within a 3-mile radius of Bloomsbury. When you need a rest, take a break for afternoon tea in one of the best hotels in London.
When London's calling to you, Travelocity has a great selection of Bloomsbury hotel deals that will save you money. You can save even more with mobile exclusive deals on the Travelocity app.

Bedford Hotel
"Lovely friendly check in, and an early check in as we were just going to leave our bags but our room was ready. Location of the hotel is great, about 15 mins walk from Kings Cross in one direction and the same to Covent Garden in another. Like a lot of London hotels there is no aircon in the rooms, unfortunately it was 36 degrees the day we arrived, they did send maintenance up to release the safety catches on our windows, which was a nice touch, even though it didn't make a lot of difference. Room was compact but well spec'd, bathroom was tired, a small bath (why not just put a shower) grout/mastik needed some TLC. The worst thing for me was the shower curtain, thought at first it was the narrow bath, then thought it was because it was a single curtain (not double to help stop it sticking) but actually all it came down to was the shower curtain rail had been mounted really badly, it was impossible to shower without it sticking to you. Shower was off the bath taps, so a micron of a turn meant boiling or freezing. There is aircon in the lobby and a water chiller, so we spent some time there cooling off. Lifts are small (4 people max) and slow. I would stay in this area again, but possibly not at this hotel, although the staff were really friendly and helpful."
