Functional

Room was small but functional. The double bed was a small double but it was absolutely fine for one person and one night. The room is a little dated with a 80's style carpet in the room and the bathroom was compact but again, very fine for one night & one person. The staff were lovely and the location is perfect and the room even came with a fan for warm nights so its a solid 3.5/5 in my book.

Nice staff, good location, good breakfast...but the room was so HOT! No AC, and no ventilation, meant it was way too warm in our room, which made it hard to sleep.

In the heart of the Big Smoke

This location is wonderful between Tottenham Court Road, Euston, KingsX/St Pancras and the British Museum. Although a busy street during the day, super quiet at night, and my room overlooked the square. Modern updated bathrooms make up for the older building. Bed was comfy, and towels fluffy.

The beds are wonderfully comfortable and the staff are lovely. Being able to open the windows and have fresh air rather than air conditioning was great, although there is some noise. We'll be back.

The Tavistock is a really well situated hotel, short walk from Russel street tube station and a 10-15 minute walk to Oxford Street. Room was lovely, well appointed and had plenty of shelf space in the bathroom - wasn't keen on the wardrobe space, but that was neither here nor there for a few nights. Doesn't have air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room which helped. Breakfast is really good, excellent selection. Can't fault the hotel for the price and location. Will definitely use again the next time I go to London!

Lovely and good location.

We had a lovely experience at this hotel. It's conveniently located to Euston station and getting a direct bus to Camden and a lovely 20 min walk to Oxford street, with a lovely park right outside so not as noisy as some parts of central london. Rooms are small but nice enough and clean. No air con though, but there was a fan!

Happy to have been there.

Good location and plenty of food choices around. North of the city center, but still easy to get to all the sites and tours. Get a room on the north or east side, as there is a party place with a lot of noise, sometimes, on the west.

Nice welcome and beautiful view of the park from my room. Great that the breakfast venue has 2 separate coffee machines to reduce Qing well done! Staff are lovely. Good location.
