"This hotel was lovely! Beautiful classic architecture and style hotel a couple blocks from the park and one block (79th station) from the subway- so you can get to anywhere in NYc quickly. The staff was kind and helpful- we arrived early than check in and they were happy to out our name on the waitlist to check in as soon as our room was available. They allowed us to keep our bags without a fee, so we can begin exploring. The room was clean and a great size, and truly just an overall lovely stay. Would highly recommend and we would stay again! "What a gem! It's a great location, not quite 2 blocks from the 1-2-3 line, and the 2-3 takes you directly to Times Square in about 4 minutes. There are tons of places to eat, plus a grocery store right across the street. There really were none of the annoying things that can happen in historic buildings -- the water pressure was great, the elevators were zippy, and all the staff was SO NICE and HELPFUL. I stayed for 5 nights and I'm really not ready to go home."

"Delightful hotel with newly renovated rooms and a very nice lobby area with a lounge/library, bar, breakfast bar and sitting area. Small but adequate fitness center. Serafina restaurant opens into hotel for evening dining. Close to Zabars and Fairway and loads of local shops on Broadway and Amsterdam. Amsterdam from 79th to 96th is full of great restaurants and local bars. Heart of the Upper Westside. "
