Within walking distance of metro!!

Location: Metro is across the street. Central Park a few blocks away. Little Italy pizza is a must!!
When we arrived (Friday afternoon), staff was friendly and ready to help. Our room was ready, and we got our keys and subway maps to help us navigate the city. Our room was nicely made up, clean and fairly spacious considering we're in NYC. Also came with a small fridge and microwave which was really useful during our trip to hold leftovers or heat up midnight snacks. The hotel was also right across the street from the metro which was very convenient. Only real complaint I have is the elevator--it was slow, there's only one, and we were on the 7th floor so lots of stairs to climb after a long day of hiking around the city.

Close to Subway Station and many places to eat

Excellent room service, alway clean. Staff friendly and appropiate room space not as small as many others. Location is perfect to commute to manhattan dowtown, Subway station accross the street. Love the area, nice and not so crowded as dowtown. Many options to eat near!!

Convenient to subway and reasonably priced

The hotel is located next to a subway which adds to the safety assurance when arriving back to the hotel late at night. The room was very clean and the bathroom sparkled, though it looks like the grout is ready to be replaced around the tub...it was discolored and cracking in spots. Our room had a back view of a water tower. I don't consider it a mark against the hotel as not all rooms can have million dollar views. We were there to sleep and wash up. The desk people were exceedingly polite and helpful. My only regret was I did not have cash to leave the maid a tip, and I could not add it to my bill at the desk. The room was a tad bit warm, not uncomfortable, but in our house, the heat is turned down at night, so I am used to it being cooler. Overall, I was very happy with my room and stay. I will stay there again when visiting the city overnight.

Uptown stay

Pros: Close proximity to everything....
Cons: A little bit better bed. Perhaps take the old comforters off and redo in new hotel style.
Location: Diner, bagels coffee, restaurants and pizza, all very close by.
It was a basic room very clean and close to restaurants and subways.

Low-cost, basic hotel on the upper west side

Pros: Price, location.
Location: There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and markets.
This is a two-star hotel on Broadway, NYC between 94 and 95th streets. I paid $125 for a single room plus $20.98 city and state tax. The rooms are small as one might expect in Manhattan, but have been updated and are very clean. There is no restaurant, but there is a diner just next door. There is good WiFi for $6.95 per night. So, not a luxury hotel but an affordable price for a very expensive city. I was visiting Columbia University, which is a bout a 20 minute walk away, but there is a subway station right outside (no. 1 line) if you prefer to ride.

Hotel Newton Experience

Pros: It is in a "great" location. Right in the middle of Manhattan. Lots of activity around.
Cons: I would just compare the cost to other hotels in the area. But it is a good location and In good condition,.
Location: Check previous comments,
The hotel was very clean, rooms were nice with updated bathrooms. The only challenge that I had was the room I that I was booked in was rather large but in the rear of the hotel, so my only view was the back alley and the buildings next door. The hotel staff did offer me a room facing Broadway and it was on a lower floor. The room was very nice and worked for me except it was much smaller (which the hotel staff had already told me). I would think that the smaller room would be less cost. In my case I had already booked the room. However, in the future I will be able to ask for specific room locations in the hotel.

Great Value

The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly. The room was small but perfectly functional and the bathroom was large and must have been recently redone - very modern style - more so than the room itself. The location was right near the subway and bus route. I would stay here again.

Great hotel nearby to my family

Only spent one night there, but accommodations were great. I had originally booked 3 nights and changed to one since there was a bed availbable for me at my son's apt. They were very gracious about the change, no penalty of any kind. There was a small frig and microwave in the room and coffee maker. What else would anyone need? Great value. I will definitely go back.
