Hotel was amazing. The road noise from 131 is kind of annoying. And I really dislike places that make you spend more money for breakfast when 90% of their competitors or even same family of hotels offer it for free else where kinda scummy.

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown by IHG. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a great view overlooking the city. It was a nice walk across the Blue (pedestrian) Bridge to an event at DeVos Place. And breakfast the next morning was delicious!

Breakfast was not free but the restaurant was great. The server named Sailor went above and beyond. Also the driver 'veronica' who worked in maintenence normally was great and she went above and beyond.

My check in with the front desk staff was amazing. The hot tub was filthy and full of scuzzy foam. We were shouted at in the hot tub because we had cups of water with us. The room was clean, but the vanity and sink are outside of the bathroom, making it difficult for people to have privacy while getting ready. I usually look forward to the continental breakfast at a Holiday Inn, but there wasn’t one due to there being a restaurant. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t great.
