We had an excellent stay! First starting with the check in desk, Angeline helped us. She noticed we had children and upgraded our room at no cost. She took the time to tell us about area attractions and dining ideas. She was so helpful!! The room was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and the view was gorgeous. The floors were “creaky”.. but I prefer creaky wood floors over dirty hotel carpet! The salt water pool was a hit and the Wednesday evening social the hotel puts on with free appetizers and drinks was a great surprise! We also appreciated the parking garage that connected right to the hotel! We don’t have a bad thing to say about our stay here. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again! So much to do within waking distance!

Disappointing. Booked a $450 a night suite for myself, and three other guests. Upon checking in we found out the man at the front desk had given our room to another guest. Leaving me and my three other travel companions to cram into a two queen bed room. For the same price as my two room, three bed suite I originally booked. The real kicker, I called at 3:00 pm (check-in time) to let the staff know we wouldn’t be able to check in until around 8:30/9:00 pm, and the employee I spoke with ensured me, “your room is booked and ready when you get here. Thank you so much for checking in and letting us know about the late check in.” For the price of a one night stay, and the expectations that come with a Hilton. I, we, are very disappointed with our trip. The room and hotel itself was subpar on cleanliness. The pool, fitness center and other amenities could use a thorough cleaning and basic maintenance. The complimentary breakfast was, well a joke. The best part of our stay was leaving in the morning.

The room was nice and had plenty of space. However, it was very obvious it had not been cleaned thoroughly before we arrived. There was hair in the sink and dental floss on the floor. It just seemed dirty. For the price of the room, i really expected better. It was great, though, being walking distance to Van Andel Arena!

I loved the set up of the suite with the small kitchenette and the bath. The floors were hardwood and the walls distressed brick which added so much character to the building. My husband heard some noise from people above us walking on the hardwood, but it was pretty minimal. I found the property very safe and easy to navigate with the directions the staff provided. The room was clean the amenities were better than expected. I would definitely recommend this property again and have already been looking for other Homewood Suites to visit for future trips. This was my first time with this company and every part of the experience was top notch. I'm looking forward to visiting this and more of their facilities in the future!
