"The place is close to everything, very safe. Easy to get to from bart. Front staff is very friendly, professional and ready to assist with recommendations. The issue is, rooms have a heater but no AC. It was a really hot day in SF. Possible that they do not have many really hot days. "

"I understand that the hotel is next to a crowded population center with much foot traffic....but for a premium hotel the atmosphere was stark. There was NOTHING offered as an amenity....not a coffee bar at 6am, nor a mint on the pillow, ...nothing. The hotel is connected to a sorry little overpriced cafe (Fredericks) with grumpy people, costco-quality pastries, and overpriced for a less-than-premium product. When we arrived at 10pm there was NO kitchen open and nothing available (except the barman graciously provided some popcorn....and thanks for that.) Bottom line is that there is a premium hotel legacy and a premium hotel pricetag ....but nothing really premium about the 2-day stay. "
