Staff was exceptional... especially our waitress Jenny! So very pleasant and aimed to please in every way. The resort need some upgrading although I think some renovations are taking place. The location is ideal for a fall get away before the hectic ski season begins. Will return!!

Bare minimal amenities in room. Outdated hotel that needs some work. More of a motel than a resort.

We reserved a room at the Chateau months ago for an evening wedding nearby, but were involved in a serious multi car crash approximately 60 miles from the wedding site. We were shaken and realized we couldn't get to the ceremony in time when police finished processing us. I contacted the Chateau with no expectations, but was so appreciative that the staff was kind enough to give us a full refund given the emergency situation, even though it was already after 5:00pm. Thanks for the hospitality and hope to see you in the future!

Close to Camelback, and that's about it

Pros: The free shuttle to camelback. That's it
Cons: Clean your hotel!!
The only good thing about this hotel is it's proximity to Camelback and the free shuttle. Other than that, I can't find many pluses. It is WAY to over priced for what you get. The room was dirty. We saw hair in the shower, mold in the bathroom and our room had a pungent stale smell. The housekeeping barely made up our rooms the next day. They just pulled the comforter over our beds. There was also a housekeeping rag on our bed when we checked in. We attempted to use the pool which was absolutely disgusting. The deck was slimy and unclean. The pool water was cloudy and had chucks of hair floating around. We left within minutes. The staff seemed okay but when I was checking in, I asked a single question about the shuttle. The front desk person began to answer and then just started talking to a coworker midway through her answer. She just kept talking so I ended up just awkwardly walking away. It was a rude thing to do to anyone, let alone a customer.

Terrible Service

Had to switch rooms the first night because the the mattresses were awful and the bed was sloping down in the middle. The second room the beds were much better, but the TV didn't work. They sent a maintenance person who couldn't fix the TV and said we needed an engineer...waited hours and then they told us the engineer left for the day. They wanted us to switch rooms again so we would have a working TV. Housekeeping never came to clean the room. We went to the front desk several times to ask for maid service, but they still never came. When we complained they offered us free breakfast. Service at the restaurant was slow and they were always out of normal things. There was one waitress for the whole dining room who was running around, stressed out, and always complaining about how overworked she was. They were out of things like unsweetend iced tea, decaf coffee...building is run down and needs work. I could overlook that if the service wasn't so awful.

If you just need a place to rest your head real quick in and out then ok. Not worth the money. Maybe if it was for less than $100 bucks. The hotel could be nice but needs renovations ASAP. Nice view. No refrigerator. Only for renting at $10 bucks. However when I requested one it was sold out. I spent $35 bucks on food and had no where to put it but the trash. Also the people working at the food place tried to overcharge me as if I was stupid.

Hotel needs updates, which seems to be in progress

Hotel is old and the lobby is being updated. Hope the rooms will be renovated too as it looks very dated. Has both indoor and outdoor pool. Guess if you are skiing, you need need a convenient place to stay but in the summer, there isn't much point

Big Disappointment

Pros: Wait staff in the restaurant were charming and attentive. They did a very good job with what they had to work with.
Cons: EVERYTHING- from better customer service to better maintenance, the entire place needs an upgrade. Restaurant needs better choices.
Location: We spent the day rafting and had plans for the next day, which we cut short because we were exhausted.
Hotel is in disrepair. Staff is unable to rectify situations. Where to begin? Room did not have a hair dryer...took over an hour and several requests to get one, then due to a faulty outlet in bathroom 2 different hair dryers didn't work. While this was going on there were people stuck in the elevator (Firemen had to come get them out.) The air conditioner banged through the night, toilet was hard to flush then ran noisily all night....the lobby, basement and arcade were horribly hot (no AC there at all.) The Sauna was out of order, the hot tub jets were a joke- barely worked, the railing in the stairway was held together by duct tape, the front desk help refused to check the coffee urns and several guests who came for the advertised complementary coffee left without any. Management comped half of our overpriced poorly cooked meal, (don't get the catfish and avoid the place entirely if you are vegetarian or gluten free) VERY limited menu.... but it wasn't enough. We were hungry, tired and miserable by the time we checked out. Happy we only reserved 1 night.

Perfect getaway location

I went here for a quick weekend getaway to clear my head and it was just the place to be. My stay was excellent and the location was perfect. There were so many activities and food places near by. This hotel will absolutely see me again!
