"The location of the hotel was perfect! Within walking distance of all of the restaurants and shops!! We had a wonderful experience! As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a gentleman working outside named Jeff. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. The girls at check in were quick and polite! It was an easy process! The room was clean, spacious and the shower was exceptional!! Our first night we stayed and ate at Pinky’s! The food and service was great! The pool was great! There was a bar conveniently located to the side of the pool! The bartender was super upbeat!! There was a little shop in the hotel, they sold delicious breakfast, sunscreen, toiletries and tshrits! Everything you needed! It was easy to access the beach from the hotel as well! We honestly didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back."

"Great vibe and unbeatable location at the Ryder Hotel. We originally hoped to switch our king room to a double but were told the hotel was sold out. At check-in, the gentleman at the front desk let us know he had already placed a rollaway bed in our room for us — a great touch and much appreciated! The pool and bar scene were lively and fun, which really added to the experience. Only downside was the low water pressure in the shower. Other than that, it was a great stay!"

"The rooms are not outfitted properly. The bed frames are much bigger than the beds and I hit my knee/legs at least 5 times. And, there is a shelf over the sink and I hit my head washing my face. Also, the cleaning staff was vacuuming the hallways at 7:30AM and kept hitting my door. (I am a late sleeper) These may sound small, but made the night/morning very uncomfortable."

"There were so many highlights with our stay. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony, which we found delightful. Our room was newly renovated and beautiful. Very comfortable bed and immaculately clean bathroom. Housekeeping was exceptional. Breakfast in the Palmetto Room was an outstanding start to our day, from the exquisite Bernardaud China place settings to the excellent service and food. The entire ambiance of Charleston Place is restful, elegant and welcoming. We enjoyed all the beautiful floral arrangements and listening to the harpist during the afternoons. The location is perfect for shopping City Market as well as upscale King Street, all within walking distance. We found the entire staff to be very friendly and helpful. It was an outstanding stay, and we look forward to our next visit."
