Yes, the pool seating and the pool was wonderful. The staff were amazing and very helpful. They wouldnt give us late checkout since they have a limit. The room was very clean and comfy. I love the Tides.

The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. There was a roach in my room and took a picture and asked for an accommodation, and a destination fee was refunded. Unfortunately the heater made a loud metallic sound and shifted into a grumble. Did not sleep at all the first night. Fantastic weather.

We have stayed at Tides many times over the years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. The hotel’s description of its New Year’s activities was misleading. We selected Tides specifically because we were told there would be on‑site festivities, only to discover that everything was held inside Pinkies Restaurant and required the purchase of expensive food and drinks. We cancelled reservations at a more upscale hotel based on the information provided by Tides. Given this misrepresentation, I believe we should be refunded for at least one night. ---

We spent two nights at Tides Folly Beach right before Xmas and enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again especially in the summertime. Clean room and friendly staff. Great view of the pier and beach from our room. We watched lots of surfers. Easy and free onsite parking. There are many cute restaurants nearby. We didn't get a chance to try it but Pinky's looks like a fun beachside restaurant right at the hotel. Quick 20-min drive to downtown Charleston. Our mini frig was making a noise and the staff was quick to fix it, thank you!

Room was over noisy pool area.. pool gate slamming continuously. Loud music all day and into the night coming from bar area. Ordered food to bring back to room.. waiting one hour returned to pick up. Told it wasn’t ready.. as it sat on the counter for another 30 minutes. Cold dried hamburger for 43$ at this point.. what as waste. Please do room service.. no microwave in room to heat up cold pick up food.. from the restaurant. No beach chairs available anywhere. Also, the worst was the family with the screaming, yelling children at all hours.. not babies.. children running and screaming at all hours and the hotel did nothing to help the other paying customers on the floor.. we paid over 300$ for one night.. this stay was horrible. Restaurant take out service was horrible and lacked consideration for customer paid pick up orders. Very disappointed in the entire stay. We should have been charged 1/2 of the amount for this terrible hotel stay
