Excellent location for exploring the USS Yorktown and pretty views of the harbor. Polite staff. However, that is where the positives stop. While our room was clean, I would not describe it as well-maintained. Basic things did not work upon check-in, including the ceiling fan, mini-fridge, and the bathroom light. The thermostat was not adjustable, making the room so hot that we requested that maintenance turn it off altogether. The walls were dented, scuffed, and begging for some fresh paint. In spite of paying for the room in advance, the hotel put a nearly $1000 hold on my credit card at check-in. When I reported this, I was told this was a mistake, that the hold should have been $100, and that they could not remove the hold until after we checked out. This could be a great hotel, but the number of issues we encountered will probably discourage us from seeing if they turn things around.

I was traveling for business so this was a great change of pace. Beautiful area. Room was beautiful clean and spacious. Convent to the historic part of Charleston. Either drive 15 minutes or take the water taxi across the hourbour. Everything is walkable and safe. Lots of shops and restaurants etc. The hotel has a great massage therapist. The only negative for me personally was the gym really needs updating but is still better than most hotels I will definitely be staying here the next time I’m back in town.

This place was very pretty but very cold! The heating in the bathroom of the room doesn’t exist! Very cold showers it too forever for the water to warm up don’t suggest going in the winter time .
