A pit. First experience was with the three S's: surly, smiling (the only nice one), and sullen. After five brutal hours of traffic, I asked surly if she could possibly check is in at 2:30, rather than 3:00 PM. Without looking at her housekeeping report, or making eye contact, she said "No. Come back later. 30 min later. Smiling actually made eye contact and looked like she was glad to see us. "No problem." The property was, in a word, filthy. Used dental cleaners on the carpeting in the hall, black mold in the bathroom, rusty fixtures in the shower, unpainted plastering in the room. And the list went on. When we couldn't get the shower to work, I tried to call the desk, but the phone wouldn't work, so I walked down to the desk and met sullen. As though it was an imposition, she trudged down to our room, conformed that the phone indeed wasn't working, then struggled to get the exposed plumbing to turn on. Big sigh, and she was gone. My siggestions: the owner clearly hasn't inspected his property in months. if ever. Either that, or he just doesn't care about his property. His staff (except for smiling) was an embarassment. Virtually no maintenance apparent. Standing garbage overflowing in the parking lot. If the conditions of the property are acceptable to ownership, they are the equal of a flophouse or a homeless shelter. The real crime was charging a premium rate ($175/2 nights) for a poorly managed, poorly kept property. It needs to be closed.

The staff was great. The outside was ok. Your landscaping needs work and your flowers need water desperately. The room was clean and the bed comfortable However the air conditioner was so loud in the room that we could not use it and made sleeping uncomfortable. When traveling you look for a place to recharge your batteries and this was not restful. Breakfast was ok but food was not adequately staffed for the whole breakfast time.
