"Beautiful, classy old hotel atop Nobb Hill."
We had a city view from the 9th floor and the room was large with high ceilings and large windows. Service was excellent, the staff very polite (from the bellman to the concierge) and helpful. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are going to be in San Francisco.

"Historic but not luxury"
Visited during hot spell in San Francisco. Room uncomfortably hot despite ceiling fan and additional fan. There was no AC. Wi-fi required installation of a hot spot in order to work, with re-sign on required each time device turned on. Room was musty smelling. We stayed in Historic King with no view.

"Our Second time staying at this hotel"
Our stay at the Intercontinetal SF was a great experience, we have stayed here before and just love the location and convenience to city shopping and restraunts with in walking distance of our hotel. This trip was due to my grandaughter having medical procedures at UCSF so this stay was a welcome diversion for her and the family. We enjoyed using the pool, had a wonderful dinner at a restaruant located across the street. And did some shoppng at the near by Mall. My only complaint would be that the single rooms (one bed) were very small as comared to the rooms that have two queen beds. The rooms are clean, staff very nice. And the view from our room is spectacular.

"Wonderful staff match the surroundings"
Stayed here for the second time and mentioned in the reservation that it was my wife's birthday. She received special attention and gifts both from the hotel and Navio restaurant. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to provide extra service.

"The people at Nikko hotel were amazing!!!!"
Everything was GREAT with one exception. I live in N.Y. and apparently I'm not familiar with a "California king bed" when I selected a king size bed I imagined it would be much bigger than the queen I have at home. It was slightly bigger than my queen and much smaller than a "king" sized bed. It was very comfortable though. We passed many hotels during our stay and even stopped in a few of them. This is one of the nicest hotels San Francisco has to offer. I was not impressed with the room service selection but that wasn't a big deal at all. The mini I pad in the room is a nice touch although it didn't work when we tried to order room service with it, as it said we could. As soon as I arrived I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my room for an additional fee per day, best decision! For that extra fee you get breakfast every day in the main restaurant, use of the pool/jacuzzi every day, and a wine/cheese service daily for a few hours. It was worth the extra money and they even moved us to the highest floor which had a great view of the city!!

"Fun Beach Stay"
We really enjoyed this hotel. We vacationed with our family of four, (2 kids, 6 & 8 yrs old) and another couple we have been friends with forever(they stayed on 3rd level, Penthouse). We had an ocean front view on the 2nd floor which was fantastic! We stayed the Aug. 23rd weekend. A lot of the schools had already started so it was fairly kid quiet. The fog horn which sounds about every 5 seconds did not bother us at all. We even slept with our balcony door open at night and didnt hear it. Quiet hotel rooms overall. We did pick up some wine and cheese at 5:30 each night. The white wine I had was good. But, I think they could have offered some plates, instead of napkins for the cheese and a real knife instead of plastic. Breakfast was a good selection of homemade baked goods; muffins, coffee cake, danish, bagels/cream cheese, coffee, milk and juice. The selections varied according from day to day. Kids and our friends enjoyed the pool and hot tub spa. I like how they were separated from each other with a fence surrounding each. Views from patio/swim area were wonderful. The area was close to other areas. There is a walking path behind the hotel that will take you to other restaurants (Barbara's Fish Trap which we enjoyed) and Half Moon Brewery which I would NOT recommend due to service and food quality. Overall enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a beach get-away.

"New upscale hotel in financial district"
This hotel was recently acquired by Loews Regency chain. Our double bed room was on the 39th floor and a corner room. Room had a fantastic city and bay view of almost 180 degrees with three very large ceiling to floor window. Very quiet and well apportioned room. Very close to $500/night for 8 nights. Central location to all transportation and attractions. Had a couple of small glitches in the television station guide and slow to drain tub with were remedied and could be attributed to new hotel problems. Overall we we're delighted with this hotel and staff. Coffee had to be obtained inside the restaurant at lobby level and available only until 8AM. The manager assured us this was a frequent complaint and they were making changes to provide in room coffee. There was a microwave provided and refrigerator was e,tied at our request for personal groceries storage.

The staff here is great! I'd had problems at a different hotel, so moved to the Westin, last minute. They bent over backwards to get my reservation in and make me comfortable while the quickly got my room prepared, even though it was way earlier than normal check in time. The room was comfortable and clean, and I always love the heavenly bed.
