"Annual Visit to RENO great like always"
Circus Circus hotel in RENO is a great place to stop in and relax with ZERO stress. Every aspect of the hotel is laid back and efficient for any type of traveler. Parking, guest services, meals and the facility, everything is perfect including the price. They have recently been upgrading the facility and the improvements are really nice. I was traveling on a ski vacation so the emphasis was a good nights stay, it was exactly what I was expecting.

"Good in a pinch"
I stayed here two nights mainly because they are close to the airport and I wanted to avoid a snow storm that may have prevented me getting to the airport on time for my flight. Overall, the hotel was nice, but the biggest downside is despite there being no smoking signs all over people still smoked and the employees did not say anything. Furthermore, even in my room I periodically would smell cigarette smoke and my room was suppose to be non-smoking. I don't know what the issue is, but my concern is that if there are signs posted saying no smoking and people are allowed to do so, what else are people told not to do, yet still doing without being confronted. Personally, I don't trust this hotel for that reason.

"Great condo at Squaw Valley."
The front desk staff was very friendly and informative upon check in and responded quickly to any calls and requests. We were upgraded from a standard hotel room to a one bedroom condo. The room was comfortable, clean and very nicely appointed. My only complaint would be that it was noisy! We were located directly above a couple of restaurants in the main corridor of the village and the crowds outside were very noisy until after about 11:00 p.m. Loved the condo and location was fun - but it was noisy.

"Cheap hotel but weird security and bad timing"
My friends and I stayed here because it was a really great deal for Reno and it had great reviews. Unfortunately we had some strange interactions that made the stay not so great. First the pros though. It was cheap (50 bucks). The room was clean and the beds comfy. They have some great amenities like Mel's Diner and a taco place that was awesome. Less great was that we arrived when there was a special function at the pool so it was sort of hard to have a good time with the large crowd at the only pool (and it isn't that big really). We were out there for about 2 hours and we're never able to get in the whirlpool either. The pool in the summer was really a selling point on the property for us so not using it was a bummer. The other thing that was weird was that they let my friend who was sharing my room check into the room without asking for ID or credit card but then another friend wasn't able to get an additional room key despite paying for the room because she wasn't the primary name on the account. Same hotel staff member. Parking was also a little tricky but manageable. Not the worst experience, but may consider other slightly more expensive options if we return to Reno and call ahead to see if there are special events going on.

"Great little spot, right on Donner Lake."
Staff was really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and having a little kitchenette was very convenient. There were several lounge areas throughout the complex, that offered great views of Donner Lake and a place to relax outside of the room. Guest laundry was also a nice perk. We were able to wash/dry our wet ski clothes.

"Great time; center of the action"
The room was nice, clean, and since it was homecoming weekend for UNR, it seemed like the center of attention. There was a parade downtown, and a "Zombie Crawl," which kept things interesting. Although neither event was the reason for our stay, we had a very nice time. We were in the area for the Ultra 4 National races, which were fabulous. We also took advantage of "Sterlings" the hotel's very nice restaurant. It was very good, and the service was excellent. Baggage handling and check-in desk person were helpful, and made the process uncomplicated.

"Nice alternative to casino hotels."
This was an interesting hotel, centrally located but not a casino hotel and non smoking as well, which was really nice for our family. We had trouble with both of the bathrooms but the staff were very kind. It feels like the hotel is trying very hard to meet the needs of travelers not interested in staying at a casino hotel. When we had trouble with our first shower we had to change rooms but they gave us breakfast vouchers. There's also no parking on site, which was a bit of a nuisance, but tolerable. All in all, a nice option although it could have been better. I personally would give this hotel three stars.
