The amenities are not what are listed on the site. The wifi was horrible. There are multiple things that we took pictures of as far as broken wires and plugs on outlets to missing batteries in remote controls to blulbs missing in lights. We have picked and list of things we called about and text the host about.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The TV situation was a little crazy but we got by. The pool is pretty small for a property that houses up to 22 people but we still had A LOT of fun! Check-in was easy. You may want to let your guests know in advance that they should download check-in instructions/access code due to the spotty internet signal.

Exactly what our family needed! 7 adults, 6 kids, 2 dogs - we had plenty of room to spread out and to gather. The setting is beautiful, very private but not far from all that Pigeon Forge has to offer. Abundant wildlife made it especially fun.

A little piece of paradise! Our family had a fantastic vacation at Pioneer Trail Retreat. I’ve been renting vacation homes through VRBO for 2 decades, and this is probably my family’s favorite place now (mine also)! It was super clean, with everything we needed. Nice and tucked away in a little hollow, it is an amazing location and property. Lots of room to spread out and relax. The pool and fire pit area was our favorite spot. We’ve already rebooked for next year’s vacation and cannot wait. Most highly recommended!

We had a group of three families that stayed for the baseball tournament. The set up and the location of this property was perfect! We had plenty of space for us and the kids and we all had a really great time. We would definitely come back!

Beautiful Accommodations

Beautiful accommodations, off of main street so very quiet and secluded. Owner had issues with the on site Well, for the first day of check in we had no water upon arrival, but the property manager worked to resolve the issue and had us temporary water for the night and the well company returned the next day to install a more permanent fix. Game room under pool porch had a musty smell but other wise very nice location and lots of space pool was nice to come back to to relax and let the kids play.

When upon arriving we noticed it must have rained alot before we got there ...had a washout into the pool area...and grass was not cut..other then that we had a great time and love the place ..would love to rent in summer time .

Pictures don’t do this place justice! Loved it!

The amount of space to spread out here is amazing. We will likely be back with a larger group to enjoy it all again. Location is scenic and out of the way but so close to all the things. The dining space in the main house so we could all eat together was wonderful. Everything you need in the kitchen. Being completely honest we were here for spring break and there were some random things laying around the property and some broken door handles and flooring. Things that could be fixed with a quick walk through by the owner, and with the way this host was so responsive I’m sure will be fixed asap. It’s a one of a kind place to stay and kept us all together when we wanted to be with the option to separate when we needed to. Earned its 5 stars for sure!

Overall had a very nice time

Overall we did have a good time and nothing ended up being detrimental but we did run into several issues that could have been avoided to provide for a much better experience and a definite 5 star review. The pictures definetly made it look better than it was, particularly in the pool area. We had leaves in the bottom of the pool, leaf piles around the pool and broken chairs. Amongst other issues, several things had not been cleaned in a VERY long time and 3 of the 4 games in the game room were broken. Additionally there WAS a Wifi issue (as stated in the listing) but my dad spent 2 hours fixing it so now there is wifi in every house except the game room. Apparently we should have put it back the way it was because when I told the owner we had fixed it I did not received any thank you or acknowledgement for fixing his property. Unfortunately now a days WiFi is crucial especially when you have no cell service in the mountains so the fact that we fixed it so that all guests can utilize it, I would expect at least a big thank you or some kind of gesture of appreciation but I did not get it. Not to say anything negative about the host. He was extremely patient, kind, and helpful with all my questions. Overall I would stay there again (hopefully under better conditions) mostly because the road the house is located on comes out right at a traffic light so getting around was incredibly easy and convenient plus my dogs had a TON of room to roam
