"Lovely stay, super staff"
I would definitely stay here again. The room was very small, but I expected that. It met our needs, and the location was convenient, it had AC, the amenities were good (no washcloth, true, but I expected that too), and the mini-fridge was stocked with what I wanted (they had made a note to include sugar free items as I am diabetic). As I left each morning, I told them what needed to be restocked and it was always there when I returned. We Americans need to educate ourselves and know what to expect in foreign countries--little or no ice, small rooms, small (or no) elevators, etc. This hotel obviously believes in good service and works hard to make a visit pleasurable. Every day there are beverages and treats available (as well as drinks in the room fridge) free of charge. That is great (especially when you consider how much those items would cost if we had to pay for them). The staff was always helpful--whether providing advice, directions, suggestions, etc. One particular staff member, Lorena, totally endeared herself to us--we LOVED her and so enjoyed her personality, helpfulness, and patience. BTW, if looking for food nearby, there are two good bakeries on rue des Petit Champs just off Richelieu. I also recommend Ellsworth, HAND, A Priori The, and Bistrot Vivienne.
