PERFECT EXPERIENCE!

Pros: literally every single thing
Location: food trucks right out the door from the hotel were great, beach was a very short walk, there is a small grocery store very near by that has it all
You are going to find less expensive places to stay...I am telling you right now, SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY! This was absolutely the greatest experience. Every single staff member treated us like royalty. Whatever you need they will have it. Towels for the beach with cold water and fruit inside, boogie boards for the kids, fan for the room, super glue for a broken flip flop lol...Every time we got our car from the valet we had cold water waiting on us. The rooms were in perfect condition and the comfort level was top notch! I worried and worried about this being the right choice for the 6 of us and I can now say I don't regret a single thing!

WOW- Great Value for Luxury

Pros: Location, staff, room, everything
Cons: More poolside menu selections
Location: Great location, walking distance to everything
My husband and I spent 5 days at the Trump International Hotel in Waikiki. From the moment you get out of the vehicle they are there to take your bags, greet you with Shell leis, better than flowers they don’t die and whisk you to reception. Every staff member we bumped into whether reception, concierge, bellhop or housekeeping was friendly and smiled. The room was WOW. Very clean with kitchenette fully stocked with pots, dishes, blender, toaster, refrigerator, sink, microwave and stove top. Everything you need to cook and enjoy your meals, plus save money on eating out all the time. Every room, from what I understand has a balcony and even with a city view, we had a partial ocean view. They made sure you had bottled water always on hand if you needed more it was a simple call to reception and it was at your room within minutes. There is also a small food truck lot next to hotel that sold local foods. We had a few meals there and it was good for the price. But get there early, they sell out fast. Pool is not very large, but perfect for wading. There is also a hot tub spa for relaxing in. The pool has a lot of lounge chairs some in sun and some in shade. I didn’t come to Hawaii to swim in a pool, but I did use the hot tub. There is poolside service with bar and food. I highly recommend the Mai Tai and the Lychee Mojito. Nicole and Tanja, pool attendants were so very attentive, friendly, and just made the stay perfect. Concierge was also very helpful, especially Mia

Beautiful Hotel

I loved the accommodations! We had a 2 bedroom suite, and it was spacious and lovely! The only reason I didn't give a perfect review is because the pool is incredibly small and a lot of it is in the shade the whole time. The pool service is incredibly poor. The pool menu isn't the best either. The beach is about a 2-3 minute walk. (Not far at all) The concierge gives you a nice beach bag with a towel, sunscreen, water, and an apple to take with you-- which is awesome! HOWEVER... The beach is FULL OF ROCKS!! It's hard to even get in the water , because it hurts your feet!! This is by far the WORST beach in Waikiki!! I would recommend jumping in a taxi , and heading to a better "rock-less" beach a few miles away!! Last bit of information is that you will be charged for umbrellas and chairs at the beach by Trump. (Not too expensive though:) Overall, great accommodations, but the beach part is a big downer! Wai'okulu or whatever that restaurant is called is HORRIBLE too!!

Aloha Renee. Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your review. We are glad that you enjoyed the accommodations of your Suite and our complimentary beach bag service. We are saddened to learn that the pool and proximity to the beach did not meet your expectations, and we apologize for any inconveniences you may have endured. We are also very sorry that the service level at the pool did not meet our hotel standards. Our Management team takes your feedback very seriously, and we are taking steps to understand the breakdown of service and to train our associates on how we can improve and ensure the same events are not repeated. Mahalo.

coulda, woulda, shoulda

Although I go to Hawaii twice a year, my sister had never been. So before heading to Maui, we spent 5 nights in Oahu. The hotel could not have been more perfect except for 2 things. A bad foot prevented her from making the block long trek to the beach. Had she been able to make it, chair/umbrella rentals were $50. So- The pool (infinity lap pool) had many small kids in it. Most of the lounges around it were at the whim of the sun since there were no umbrellas. The few lounges away from the kids were in full sun always. To the Trumps credit, they provided beach bags w/towels, sunblock, water & fruit for those who wished to go. The location was good & the staff wonderful, even with this beach less vacation.

Nice High End hotel

If you like a nice high end hotel with great service and great location, Trump Hotel is your place. Beats the heck out of the hustle and bustle of "the strip". The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. The only drawback are its restaurants. The lobby cafe is good but limited in its choices. The BLT on street level is way over-rated. Service is terrible and overpriced. There are many restaurants just around the corner. For example, diner at the Halekulani (just across the street) has much better ambiance and service.

Wonderful experience!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I have to say, I travel often and stay in great hotels. I have to add the Trump International to that list! We were greeted by welcoming and friendly staff, we were upgraded without additional cost, the place was modern and clean. What more can I say. The suite was comfortably large. The bed was wonderful! And let's not forget the pillow menu!! The hotel was in the middle of Waikiki' s equivalent to Rodeo Dr or 5th ave in NYC, so if u want to shop or walk around, shops and restaurants galore. The beach is across the street though, but really close. The hotel also provides a beach bag with bottled h2o, sunscreen, towels, and fruit! The only down side is that the hotel pool is the size of a Koi pond, but with the beach right there, who needs it. Would I return? Absolutely!!!

Excellent Hotel in Waikiki

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, great service
Trump Waikiki is more of a luxury apartment than a hotel. The rooms are really spacious apartments or suites - I'm talking full kitchens with stainless steel appliances and even all of the pots, pans, plates, and random appliances (if you need a blender for some reason, it's there). The bathrooms are amazing. Super large soaking tubs and surprisingly good bath amenities (I am rather picky with toiletries). The service is really over the top. Housekeeping comes twice a day and keeps the room very comfortable. EVERY employee, and I mean every one, was extremely nice and welcoming. I felt like I was a celebrity the way that people treated me. They have really nice touches, like a pre packed beach bag with beach towels and sunscreen that they give you for free on your way to the beach (which is literally across the street). We cooked one nice dinner in, but otherwise ate out. You could probably save more if you cooked all of your meals, but there are such great restaurants in walking distance. I would stay here again.

Wonderful stay in Oahu

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, incredibly kid-friendly, full kitchen, unbelievably good service
What a wonderful hotel--they truly spoiled us--best hospitality of any hotel I have ever been to, EVER. We stayed there October 26-30, 2012. We booked a one-bedroom city view and were given a complimentary upgrage to a one-bedroom plus den (two full bathrooms) with a full oceanview along with a $50 meal voucher. My 6 year old's comment when she flopped into bed after watching the Friday night fireworks from our room summed it up the best: Ahhh, home sweet hotel! Even our 9 month old was comfy in the full crib (not a pack and play)! The only problem that we had was that our refrigerator must have stopped working in the middle of the night of our second night and most of our groceries had to be thrown out. They were VERY prompt about fixing it--the fan had to be replaced and it was fixed and back to normal refrigerator temperature within 4 hours of my phone call notifying them that it was not working. I was a little sad they didn't offer to replace our groceries, and I am sure they would if I had asked, but I was too sheepish to ask--the value that we got with the room, the service, and the extras such as the complimentary upgrade and meal voucher, stuffed animal, cakepops and Wii for the kiddo, fully stocked beachbags whenever we wanted, etc. surely surpassed the $50 lost in groceries! I would stay there again in a heartbeat if we returned to Oahu and Trump hotels will be first on my list if we travel to any other city where there is one. We stayed at three different hotels during our trip to Hawaii--one in Maui that felt like a normal hotel, the Trump which I wished I could have stayed in longer because it felt like a vacation home, and a third on in Oahu that made me ready to go back to my own home in Minnesota. I guess my only "complaint" is of our own doing--this is now the standard of service my family will want to compare everything else to!
