My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was convenient and very easy to get around the city. The location was perfect, clean, the staff was incredibly helpful and overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for something just a little bit off the beaten path, but still convenient to everything else.

Overall alright but it's overpriced for the small size room. There's no light on the ceiling and barely any natural light. There are only two lifts for the whole building. It takes very long for the lift to arrive. So basically it's alright, but not impressed

Hotel was close to subway system. Staff was very nice. Rooms were clean but a little small. Kitchette was very helpful for meal prep. Outside area was quiet, but a little dirty. But it was New York.

What a Dump

This was possibly the worst stay I’ve ever had at a hotel in NYC. It started with a very odd check-in experience. I was being “helped” but the desk clerk called someone from the back of the line because it was “important”. It was an odd exchange of someone who refused to pay their bill and the clerk. Meanwhile I patiently waited with a smile on my face just happy to be in NYC. So far, not a good start, but I’d thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. The room smelled like wet feet. The telephone was missing buttons and didn’t work. The TV barely functioned - maybe 5 channels worked. The AC would intermittently work from freezing to hot air. The room was incredibly humid my notebook papers were ruined by the dampness. Trying to check-out I waited 20 minutes for an elevator that never came. Called the front desk from my cell phone only to find out the elevators were under maintenance (thanks for the heads up). So I carried my luggage down 24 flights of stairs because I had a train to catch. No apologies. No sorries. Just rude staff.

This is a little less than a straightforward review. For its location, it’s a great value. As always, when dealing with reservations booked through Expedia, the desk staff can be snarky, letting us know that it behooves both us and them if we just book directly, however the convenience and comparison is why we use Expedia. Anyway. It’s a dated joint. Could use some upgrades. The TVs went out during rain and definitely no smart TV compatibility. Two small elevators service the whole place which becomes time consuming. The room door keys seem to fail frequently. In my two day stay, mine failed and had to be reprogrammed 6 times and while this may seem like no big deal, getting the elevator again from the 26th floor with a 65 pound dog with me is no simple task. Which begs the question — why would you put a guest with a dog on the 26th floor at all? Couldn’t we see the predicament and try to place pet people on lower floors? Also, the pricing is whacky. Pricing for parking as listed on Expedia versus the number I was given when I called versus what I actually paid, were all different. Don’t forget you’re in NYC and taxed to death for it, so two days worth of parking cost $174 with no in and out privileges. If you don’t valet, good luck finding safe street parking here. Good luck finding parking period. The positives though—you can bring your pet, up to 75 pounds, which is uncommon. Kitchenette sported nice & useful tools. Bed and bedding comfy.

It is a very tall hotel and only one elevator worked - waited for 15 minutes usually - I was on the 30th floor. I was basic and clean but the area is not good for visitors…it’s a bit rough (I lived in NYC). Staff were kind but the elevator had been out for days…
