Nice Hotel in Franklin TN

Pros: Open lobby; easily accessible from parking to lobby.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Hotel is a little hard to find after sunset. It is set back from the road and not easily seen if you are unfamiliar with area.
We've stayed at this hotel several times at midpoint travel to/from vacation in Florida Panhandle. Clean room, friendly staff, good room rate. Recommended.

Very disappointed

Pros: The front desk clerk at check-in
Cons: Bathroom maintenance and cleanliness. Staff's response to concerns voiced by guest.
Location: Great location.
Front desk clerk at check-in was very friendly and professional. I was not pleased with the room at all. The heat/AC unit would not maintain a constant temperature in the room , even after several attempts to adjust the thermostat. We had it set at 68, and the room would go from freezing cold to unbearable hot. I woke up in the middle of the night covered in sweat. as far as the bathroom......I felt like I was in a very low end hotel. Both the sink and tub slow drained. It was disgusting to look down and seeing soap scum from previous guest floating around my feet. There was no exhaust fan, therefore the entire bathroom filled with steam. Apparently previous guest were unhappy with the bathroom also, since the word "CRAP" appeared on the mirror when it steamed over, confirming to me the bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly. In addition, management may want to rethink some of the art work displayed in the rooms. The last think I want to look at in a bathroom is a picture of a confederate soldier statue. People from all over, with very different backgrounds and beliefs. Although I was not offended, it is very insensitive and inappropriate. At checkout, I informed the desk clerk about the sink and tub issue, she did not acknowledge me, apologize, or even look up from the computer. I actually live in Nashville and was looking forward a nice evening away, in turn I spent entirely too much money and went straight home after check out to shower.

Bad customer service

Desk agent was not helpful with accommodation. We requested a roll away bed with reservation, then upon check in the desk agent said they are not allowed to give me a roll away bed for that room. And she was in no way going to help me. I then had to get very stern and serious in order for her to help me and then concede that we were allowed to have a roll away bed in that room. The hotel itself was great. But the check in person did not exhibit first class customer service.
