Ocean view - not really

Pros: Comfortable beds and nice location
Cons: Sound insulation, proper size towels, don't advertise ocean view for this room
Location: Many restaurants and Boardwalk, gift shops
Ocean view room, if our stand on your tiptoes on the balcony when the wind blows the leaves on the tree so you can see. Too much noise walls not insulated against sounds No bath mat, ice bucket, no cups Second night - no bath towels only hand towels, but we got a bath mat. Lazy river not enough water jet pressure

Didn't get room service 3 out of the 5 days we were there. Fire alarm put us on the street late one night. No apologies no explanation. The pool and facilities are not big enough for the amount of guests. Would not stay there again

Will never stay here again.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Fire the guy at the front desk, and give me a refund.
Location: Stay at any hotel but this one.
I own a skateboard shop in Charleston, SC that has a skate team. We frequently travel for different events and projects we have going on. We stopped in Myrtle Beach for the night, and I got a room at the Sandcastle like I always do. This was probably my 20th time or so staying at this hotel. We checked in pretty late, around 3am, and went straight to the room to sleep. 10 minutes after being in the room, I get a phone call to come down to the front desk where I am told that I can't have the guys on the skate team stay there because they are minors. I proceeded to talk to the guy at the front desk for the next 20 minutes explaining what we do, and that we had no where else to go. He refused to listen, threatening to call the cops if I did not get the "kids" out of there. (They were all 15-18 year olds). I agreed that we would leave, and asked to be refunded for the room. He said that I would not be refunded, and there was no way around it. He then said comments that were very unnecessary like that "I might as well have 7 year old little boys up there", with pedophile references. I was forced to leave the hotel, and scramble at 4:30 am to go find a room for the guys to stay at. I will never stay here again, and will do my best to spread the word on how terrible this experience was.

The hotel was good

My experience was good except for the damage deposit that was unexpected. I don't like giving my credit card number to anyone. I don't trust them because the room wasn't perfect when I got there and they refused to give me a receipt when I checked out ? They said I would receive my receipt from Amazon but the problem is I used Travelocity not Amazon.??

Avoid this hotel

Pros: Nice view of ocean with ocean front room
Cons: Everything!! In bad need of repair.
Location: Pretty good location except for parking
Rooms are in terrible shape, bathroom faucet not even attached, lamp shades rusted, and AC drained INSIDE the room. Worst of all, parking is two blocks over.

This Hotel COULD be wonderful 2 stay at.

Pros: The very Nice (Black) housekeeper Lady who tried to make our Vacation it's best since we were stuck with that awful room situation.
Cons: CARPET overhaul as the carpet stinks seriously. Correct your advertisement with honesty about 1st & 2nd fl Ocean view blocking &update Travelocity.
Location: The Hotel is in a good location to restaurants & a nice walk to Piggley Wiggley grocery store.
1. Rm truly needs a carpet change seriously. 2. False advertisement concerning being on the Ocean front. If you end up on the 1st or 2nd floor from the middle to the right hand side of their middle(main) bldg., YOU WILL NOT be able to view the Ocean at all due to a TIKI Bar that completely blocks your view & to make matters worst that it opens late evenings & is open until around 2a or 3a & they ALL are loud & drunk so you will NOT get any sleep nor your kids stay sleep; HENCE: these are something's you are NOT told at booking NOR is it written to read for yourself to make other picks/decisions for yourself & or family. Lastly the Mgmt. after talking to them put all blame on Travelocity & NOT themselves who hired Travelocity.

Here is the TRUTH.

Pros: none .... million zero
I drove a long way just to make it to myrtle beach. when I get to the hotel this was the worst hotel ever. the staff are rude. I had to park 2 streets away. THE ROOM ITS VERY DIRTY AND MOLDY. Bed was not comfortable at all. No hair dryer .This is a place no one with kids should stay and it was a waste of money so I don't consider this hotel to no one.
