Live Roaches

The room we stayed in had live roaches in it. We contated Big Fish Rentals and aside from notifying the HOA to spray, they said they couldn't/didnt do anything else. There was a roach trap with a live roach stuck to it as well. At check in, we were provided a key code. We were not provided with a card to access the entrances / exits throughout the property. There were no luggage carts to be found. No pans to use the oven. This room did not come with a full fridge or full sink. There were no paper towels, tissues, extra garbage bags. The floors were not cleaned well. Our kids white socks quickly turned black from walking on the floors. We will avoid this place at all coats in the future.

Needs a dehumidifier

While location to the beach was easy access, we only stayed in the room for sleeping mainly because of the smell. We didn’t use the front room as there wasn’t a window and the room smelt musty. The back room was a little better because we could open the balcony door to air it out when we would first come in. But the sheets at night would feel almost wet because of the humidity in the room. The AC unit would also constantly make noise.

The room was average. However the smell was very bad. We had to turn off the AC and open the sliding door to get some fresh air. Rug seem to be the issue as it didn’t appear it has been cleaned in years. Overall was ok. Oceanview was more like side view. For price room was ok.

Great room location, nice resort.

Nice room, close to beach, 2nd floor, so easy to take the steps down to beach, attached parking garage, which was handy. Resort always extremely clean and well staffed.

Communication with Mary at big fish rentals was very good however we had issues that were never resolved Bathroom fau/light combo make a terrible loud noise so you can not turn on the light when showering or young toilet The hot water from the tub faucet runs constantly ..will not turn off We needed extra blankets for my grandson since there were none in the room We made Mary and Julie aware of all of the above and maintenence was supposed to come at 9pm on a Saturday night but never showed up Then we paid for extra night ahead of time as the owner offered a decreased rate for extra night but this was not communicated with the housekeeping people so ALL of our luggage, medicines, extra pillows, etc were taken while we were out of the room We are currently in our room waiting for someone to bring my luggage and belongings back.

Needs Maintenance

This 2 bedroom place I stayed in had a horrible smell to it. The shower dripped constantly, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was so loud it sounded like an airplane taking off, and the carpet felt awfully dirty. This room is not up to standard and quite a disappointment to stay in. It needs maintenance desperately.

Disgustingly Deceptive

Since I cannot post the whole horrible ordeal and its truths due to limitations of characters... I'll be brief The stay, if you consider it a stay, sleeping for in a uninhabitable overwhelming cigarette saturated unit for 6 hours... maintenance never came to ozone room or fix leaking shower faucet . We stayed out of room entire day due to the smell and compromising issue to our health snd children's health breathing in the unit. We were not able to make meals or even be in room for extended time. Breathing in unit for more than 5 mins caused excessive coughing, watering eyes snd sore throats. I used all methods available to be in contact with " julie" and BFRentals via, text, email and phone. We were forced to leave and book another hotel. I asked if we could switch to different unit but received no response. After literally evacuated room the entire day by that evening nothing was fixed or rectified. I was most upset because suppedly this was a non smoking property and unit so never thought id have to encounter such an issue. Also lack of integrity to good business practices id deplorable. Big fish rentals is nothing more than a cash cow. No contact correspondence was happening. No responses to texts, calls or emails. It was a horrible experience.
