This was a nice budget-friendly hotel. It's obviously not a brand new facility, but everything was clean and updated, making the most of what is there. The restaurant next door had very nice breakfast - simple menu, but good food (not powdered eggs!!) The television was a bit confusing, especially if someone wasn't used to finding "LiveTV" as an app on a Smart TV, and it was confusing trying to get to the channel you wanted. I had to get my door key re-set each day which was a bit of a pain, but since my room was right behind the desk, not as much as it could have been. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I judge a motel room by pillows and water pressure. Both were excellent in this location. I didn't see it for myself but I heard that the pool was under construction. And the restaurant was in a weird place, and had a bar/casino across from it.

I booked a room and paid and they called the day of check-in and said I booked a room that didn’t exist. They had no other rooms to offer and then asked if they should cancel my reservation, even though I didn’t have a room. They should not let me book and pay if they did not have a room.

It was a wonderful stay in Helena! The staff were the most friendly and helpful hotel staff we have ever encountered! The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the showers were hot. What more could you ask for? Oh! The breakfast was great next door at The Crooked Frog.
