View from a friend's front porch, July 4, 2015 following a morning of rain. It turned out to be a lovely day! If you ever get a chance to visit western NC, I hope you have a day as beautiful as this.

This chapel sits on Lake Junaluska. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside. I came here for the first time with my youth group, and we had so much fun. Lake Junaluska became a place that brought me so much joy. I think this is the most beautiful place in the Appalachian mountains. From the first time I stepped into this chapel, I knew I wanted to get married here. When I look at the mountains, I think of God who created them, and I want to think of that on my wedding day. #appalachianechoes
This is home of the WNC conference of the United Methodist Church. This is one of the most beautiful places in the world, because it was created to glorify God. I have always seen the work of God in the mountains, and I love seeing a place that displays the natural landscape so well. This cross was erected in 1922, and sits at one of the highest points in the conference center. It can be seen from all around, which I love. When I'm at a conference at Lake Junaluska, I love looking at this cross and remembering why I'm there. #appalachianechoes
Sunset over the Balsam Mountain Range. 360 degree views never disappoint.
