"We COMPLETELY enjoyed our stay at Hale Makai! The home was very comfortable - just as advertised! It was quiet with lovely decor and a beautiful yard and lanai. The hot tub under the stars and moon was delightful! We had everything we needed and loved coming back to the house after a day of exploring and watching the beautiful sunsets at Kekaha Beach. Even though it is located in the far west, we found it very convenient for all of our adventures. It was easy to get to anywhere from Kekaha. We go to meet one of the hosts, Chad and he gave us a ton of great tips for exploring and food. We highly recommend Hale Makai!"

"My wife and I stayed at Kai Nalu with two of our adult sons and daughter-in-laws. It was very accommodating for our ohana gathering. We had 3 rental vehicles between us. There was plenty of parking for all. The kitchen and front room were big enough and well-equipped for family style cooking and meals. The washer and dryer were great and in use every day. Each couple had their own bathroom which was a huge plus. The location is excellent. Most mornings we gathered as a family on the backyard beach to watch the Kauai sunrise. Hearing the waves crashing on the beach morning and night added a touch of perfection to our vacation. Shopping, food and shave ice were all a short walk away. The neighbors on either side were very kind and friendly. For Kauai standards, this is a very large, roomy home. We didnt even have to use the 4th bedroom and bathroom. We were very pleased with our choice. If you're staying in Waimea, this is an excellent choice for family/large group accommodations. If i had to choose between the Waimea Plantation Cottages and Kai Nalu, I'd choose Kai Nalu every time! Mahalo!!!"

"It was a comfortable house with an incredible view. Lovely outside space. A/C in all the bedrooms not the main rooms! Lots of toys in the garage, beach chairs, umbellas, cooler, towels, toddler bed and hook on high chair. Garage was available for parking. Can walk to spouting horn. Very nice for multi family stay! Felt safe and private. Rental agency was responsive and checked in often. "
