The resort and parking fees should have been included in the cost at time of booking. Fees on fees jacking the bill up is not cool.

The property is beautiful with a nice pool and several dining options. It feels a bit dated with cracked walking paths and rooms with noticeable degradation (loose fixtures, dripping faucets, rusty metal, stained carpets).

Nice property over all, however a few maintenance and up keep issues. Hallways were a little beat up. Rooms were nice. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

I really enjoyed the view, and hot tub, and the short walk to the beach. I did not like that it was $35 for a breakfast buffet so I never got it.

Overall, the property set is up for a great trip on Kauai. Its central location on the east coast allowed easy access to all parts of the island, which suited our travel plans perfectly. The property was clean and well kept throughout. Minor critiques include the surcharge for parking, resorts fees, and lack of swimming on the beach - but all of this was upfront and clear when we booked, so nothing we didn’t expect. If you’re looking for a resort style home base to explore the island, this resort is great.

I like the property so much. But didn’t like the receptionist, she is not friendly at all. Removing the microwave is really inconvenient.

The people the service and the outside and grounds are very nice . Restaurants are pleasant yet only food for breakfast and lunch is truly great the dinner options not so tasty . The rooms are clean but very dated the lobby is very pretty. The staff are friendly only had one issue with a staff but that’s ok. We enjoyed our stay but decided to venture out for most of our dinners to get better options and taste. The grill out by the pool driftwood was great lunch each day. Overall wasn’t bad .

The outrigger is an amazing place to stay . And if you are looking to get married on the beach . This is the perfect place to do so .

Great location with pool and beach. The grounds were beautiful! Excellent food too. The resort rooms need to be redone. We were in a “premium room” but they are very tired looking and bathrooms need updating. The beds were broken down. Need new mattresses desperately. And two beds are double - not queen. On the grounds- 1/2 the string lights are lit up- 1/2 the tiki torches are lit at night. They have 7-8 umbrellas at the pool for the entire resort. Guests would put towels out at 6am and save their spot and come out in the afternoon. Overall- a good place.

Just returned from staying three days at the resort. Check in was quick and friendly. We were in building 4 on the second floor facing the pools, but the walk was no problem. They give you a waterproof wristband for the room so it was convenient. The parking lot was a walk away and gated. After you swipe your first time leaving the lot with your room key, it will automatically raise when you enter and leave. Very nice. The room was very clean with complimentary soaps, shampoos, and Keurig coffee. The maid will only clean the rooms before someone checks in but if you request new towels or other items, they will provide it without issues. The pillows were soft but could be more supportive. They gave us two refillable aluminum water bottles that can be filled with filtered water in the lobby. They gave us two complimentary beach towel cards for our family and were able to exchange it after every swim in the pools. The slide was fun but I couldn't go down quickly because my shorts had too much grip. The pools were nicely clean. We liked the downstairs gift shop because they also sell Starbucks coffee and ice cream. The porters in the front were very friendly and helpful, and always said "good morning". The only small issue I had, which is in a lot of hotels, is the dim lighting in the room. I had to go into the bathroom or onto the balcony to be able to read some literature. If there were a reading lamp with a white LED available, it would be nice. Another issue is I wish there

Unmotivated check-in that made us even avoid the front desk during our stay. The property is past its zenith, lots of stands for parasols around the pool, but where are the parasols? Food at breakfast is low value for the money. Beds are comfy but on three out five days construction work wirh associated noise from 7a.m. Pool staff was very friendly. Housekeeping cleaned the room well, would have been great if we hadn‘t found the door to our room OPEN when we returned to our room. Lots of dirt in the hallways, esp in Building 2, wouldn‘t want to walk there without shoes - so better take shoes down to the pool. All in all, during our 4 island trip through Hawaii, it was the most expensive resort wirh the least value for money.

The resort was very clean and seems like it was renovated recently. The pool deck was great because it was spread out and you weren’t crawling over people in and around the pool. Plenty of activities for the family. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Well worth the money.
